I truly think without any bias that ND will beat aTm handily. I think the FL-Miami game will be very close. Could go either way but I’ll take FL. Give me UGA to win but I’ll take Clemson and the +14pts. Clemson Def will be really good this year. LSU-USC is so hard to consider. I’d stay away from this one but if I have to pick, give me LSU.

I expect Notre Dame to win, but it could really go either way. New coach but all that talent still their. Elko was able to get Duke to be efficient and execute well. Now Florida will beat Miami. Miami is shit. Florida is also shit though

I also think it’s not the best matchup for aTm as ND defense is going to be top-10 this year. aTm defense will get after the passer but their rush defense will not be that great. Also major questions in the aTm secondary.

It's like people forgot Clemson have been in the top 10, and last year were 2nd in defense. They know what their problem has been, and his name is Klubnik. that +14 by Vegas seems wild to me.

To everyone saying ND is going to blow out ATM, y’all are going to be disappointed and shocked after week 1. ATM was 7-5 but they were in every game last year. They could’ve beaten Alabama, Ole Miss, Tennessee. They were leading in each of those games in the 2nd half and stuck with LSU until the 3rd quarter before the secondary folded. That’s with a bad O-Line, Secondary, and back-up QB. On top of it, most of the issues those units had were due to coaching, not talent. Go watch the Miami game and see how horribly coached that oline was. The talent is there. They recruit perennially in the Top 10, and oh btw their 2025 class is ranked 7th. Don’t confuse horrible coaching with talent and capability.

I agree. ATM has talent. Notre dame always gets unwanted attention and preseason accolades, and almost never shows up against top tier teams-not that ATM is top tier at this point.

The Florida State game is at Notre Dame. I think you're wrong on that one, but we will see. USC it's really a toss up, USC doesn't play defense, and Notre Dame does. But it could go either way. But I think we win it. The only one that worries me is Texas A&M. Tam isn't necessarily a better team then Notre Dame, but tangibles might decide the game, that Kyle Field atmosphere, that TEXAS HEAT in Late August 90-100° outside temp, hotter on the field. Last if Notre Dame loses 2 games, we don't deserve a Playoff spot. Go Irish.

I don't know why everyone, Vegas included, I'm not normally skeptical, but their Georgia-Clemson line must really know something about Clemson's defense I'm not aware of. No they didn't play Georgia last year, but Georgia Tech did, and they wouldn't have even matched 14 against them. I know also that while Georgia lost Bowers, and Resmy-Jacksaint, and McConkey which was like 1,800 of their receiving yards, and their top RBs in Edwards and Milton totally 1600+ rushing, they still have Beck, and they can and will retool, this is the first game of the season losing all those parts. What I also know is that by some weird magic Clemson is still one of the best defensive teams in the country. In the two years since they lost Venables and were supposed to fall off the map they were 9th, and then last year 2nd in defensive efficiency according to ESPN's FPI. One opponent scored 30+ points on them, and that was an FSU team with Jordan Travis, and it was in overtime. Vegas knows best, I get that, but I'm seeing a strong Clemson defense go up against a retooled Georgia offense in the first game of the year (let's not pretend it's on a neutral site, I'm not that silly). Maybe later on down the line this one's a 14+ blowout, but I'm feeling the opposite of what JD is feeling here. I think Clemson's going to want to try and plant their flag. They'll still fail, Geogia's the better team, but Swinney got a lot of those kids to stay and be developed in an era a lot of other teams are seeing more and more attrition to the portal. They're hearing all this stuff, and I think they stayed for a reason. I'm not a Klubnik believe by any means, but that defense was real last year. You don't accidentally end up 2nd behind Michigan in defensive efficiency. Georgia's in a "weak" (in their terms) position offensively this year. They lost a lot of dudes to the NFL, at least 50% of their production. That's not saying they won't keep winning, I just don't think they're doing the over on 14 against a really strong Clemson defense in the first game of the year. Then again who saw FSU hanging 45 on LSU to start the season last year.

How is the right side of your line looking ? It's going to be awfully hard for Miami's secondary to get torched when Miami's defensive line is going to have Graham Mertz Stargazing the entire game ! Miami has the deepest group of edge defenders in the nation. Rueben Bain Jr. is the best of the bunch and is the No. 6 edge in the country after a spectacular freshman season. In fact, his 89.3 pass-rushing grade last year was the second-best PFF has seen by a Power Five true freshman. The only one above him is the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year, Myles Garrett. Starting opposite of him will be former Tennessee edge defender Tyler Baron. He was sixth among SEC edges last year with 41 pressures. The Hurricanes also added Marshall edge Elijah Alston from the portal as well. His 91.3 grade last year was third among all edge defenders in the nation. Akheem Mesidor missed all but two games this past season due to a foot injury but was fifth among Power Five edges the year before with an 87.2 grade. Miami also added DT Simeon Barrow from Michigan State and DT CJ Clark from NC State through the transfer portal and welcomed three five-star true freshmen along its defensive line as well, setting this unit up beautifully for the present and the future. 16 days ! 👀 Good luck ! 🌀🌀🌀🌀🐊🌀🌀🌀🌀
