Auburn, Florida, and Texas A&M are Dallas Cowboyesque jobs where coaches don’t have full control over their program. You have to answer to the boosters first and foremost. That’s a big reason why Lane Kiffin didn’t take the Auburn job. He has full control at Ole Miss. Deboer, Kiffin, Huepel, Smart, and Drinkwitz all have full contcontrol over their programs. LSU has just been bad coaching

unfortunately fans never understand that and want to win right away which i also understand. it doesn't matter if you have been a HC for 20 or 2 years. Once you get a big school P5 to hire you as the HC your on par with the rest of the coaches regardless of how long one may be doing that job. Alot of these less experience coaches are winning more recently then the older HCs that have been around for a while, so its all even once you get to that position in my opinion and all should be held to same standard.

This shouldn't take long to debate. I have been a Notre Dame supporter for 40 years, as of this season. They are a poser, in that they are barely a top 12 team. It actually annoyed me when they started the season ranked No. 7 and then got to No. 5 after beating an over-rated Texas A&M. I knew it would go to their collective head. I am glad this reality-check came early in the season. The other teams you listed are ALSO over-rated. LSU may be the only other top 12 team in this mix. Both Notre Dame and LSU have a similar problem as part of their short-comings... a terrific coach that is over-rated and is not equipped to lead them beyond their current levels of real success. I'm not sorry for the tough love of Notre Dame... we simply get hyped too much, too quickly because of the national tv deal and large following.

I've been a Mizzou fan since 1975. I respect your choices because Mizzou hasn't played a really strong team yet. But I think BC will be a good test. I also want to rant about the Direct TV fiasco. I was fortunate to be able to watch the game on KZbin. But I miss the SEC Network programs and news. I have had Direct TV for over 20 years, but not anymore. I am looking into switching services and I don't think there is anything they could do to keep me as a customer. This will be a very interesting season because GA plays Texas, and TN plays GA. Mizzou's biggest hurdle will be at AL. There's still a lot of football to be played, but dreams keep us going. I'm too old to go, but the ZOU is really rockin'!
