The Journey of the Blue Bombers this season has been nothing short of remarkable. They started 0-4 and 2-6, making their status as a playoff contender, let alone Grey Cup contender, questionable. They then went on to win 10 of 11 games to end the year, and are now back on the biggest stage, having won I think their most dominant and complete West Final in the last five seasons. Win next Sunday, and you keep the possibility of a dynasty alive, but lose, and you become known for all the wrong reasons. I just hope it's the former.

The last four Grey Cup champions had exactly 11 wins: 2019 Bombers (11-7), 2021 Bombers (11-3), 2022 Argos (11-7), and 2023 Alouettes (11-7). The Bombers record this year was 11-7.

I'm an Australian Rider fan and that is so TRUE. Sir Alex Ferguson famously said _"Defense wins championships. Centre forwards only decide by how far."_ I went to college in American and I learned there's an equivalent in Gridiron (both types). The D-Line defends territory and the O-Line defends the ball. So the Gridiron equivalent is: "Linemen win championships. QBs, WRs, RB, DBs and special teams only decide by how far." And tonight your Bomber O-Line and D-line BOTH won. You should watch it more it's certainly diffrent from the NFL but one rule i always explain to people getting into the CFL is the Rouge or Single rule. During a Punt, Kickoff or FG attempt. If the Ball Lands in the Endzone or goes out of bounds in the endzone it awards the Kicking team 1 point. The Defending team will get the Ball on it's own 40 yard line. (in the NFL this would be a Touchback on a Kick off or Punt and the Recieving team would get it on there own 25) A Single will not be Awarded if: It's a convert attempt, A fumble that goes into the endzone, Downed in the endzone after an interception, Goes off a Player and out of bounds in the endzone. The Defending team will get the ball on there own 25 on an unsuccessful single. Two games this year got decided by this and the American football fans do not exactly like this rule.

The big play guys on offence made big plays and the defence played out of their minds. You expect Collaros, Lawler and Oliveira to be big, but it doesn’t happen without that O line. The D, without Bighill, were all stars. Jefferson, Kramdi and Holm especially made big play after big play. Pierce and Younger had masterful game plans for both the offence and defence. O’Shea and Hall, like proud grandfathers, empowered their children and watched the grandkids frolic with delight. The Jets and Bombers seem to mirror each other, talented yet respectful of their team mates. Well coached and cognizant that the team is more important that any individual. Winnerpeg!

Sask just wasn't good enough today. That said it pains me to say this but I don't think Winnipeg has a chance against Toronto. Unlike a clash with Montreal, they're up against 2 teams, the Argos, and the officials. (Ambrosie has been very open about the Argos being HIS team throughout his reign of terror as commissioner.) And the "Argo Bounce" is ALWAYS in play when Winnipeg plays them in a Grey Cup. They're more snakebit against the Argos than any other team in the CFL and will lose big on Sunday.

They had. I mean... let's be real. Roughriders just made playoffs for the first time since 2021 and Blue Bombers are in West Final for the 6th consecutive season. Experience is on Blue Bombers side, they're very well oiled machine at this point (even if the start of this season looked like the machine ran out of oil and was breaking beyond repair). But Blue Bombers won't be able to be on top for much longer. This might be their last season on top of the west if they won't find new blood. Zach Collaros isn't getting younger and he had a very weird season when it took him a 6 TD performance against Elks to finally have more TDs than INTs in regular season. He's the main star of the show. If Blue Bombers lose him - they don't have a suitable replacement.

Chad Kelly played in NFL and he rarely scores more than 40... except that one freaking game in East Semifinal when Toronto had 58 points and Kelly had 358 yards on just 20 passing attempts (18 completions) in just 20 minutes of possession. CFL isn't that easy to conquer for NFL stars. Ask Chad Johnson how it was for him.
