You’re barking up the wrong tree. Talk to the networks who won’t pay for it. Also one soccer is available on FuboTV in Canada which includes EPL, Serie A m, Ligue 1 etc etc. if you’re a fan of the sport quit being a cheapskate.

@ It’s not a matter of being cheap. I’ve travelled to Toronto and paid to see the team play twice. The point is that only diehard soccer fans pay for a soccer only channel and that leaves out hundreds of thousands of Canada fans. Why wasn’t the game sold out? It’s because of lack of fan involvement which network television would bring. Look, we watch Leafs, Raptors Jays, Argos and T.F.C. for free. Why should our national team be a pay for view oddity?

Public tv aka CBC doesn't have the money. Same public budget for 30 years and ad dollars have fallen off the cliff due to low viewership. CBC hasn't shown a men's match since the 80s.

@@larryedwards4557 Other than the 80s and Canada women in the Olympics, Canada matches have always been on pay to watch networks like TSN/SN and OS. Attendance was worse in the 90s and the first 20 years of this century when TSN/SN had the rights. Winning is more important than being on tv. TSN/SN also didn't show about 50% of the matches.

The saddest thing is that average Canadian doesn’t get to see performances like this, the little Canadian kids who are supposed to aspire to be like their heroes can’t because they can’t SEE who their heroes are even supposed to be. What a stupid deal Canada Soccer made with the CSB. This game should be on the biggest networks in Canada. Only in this country do we have this problem, nowhere else.

The side of the stadium full with fans is behind the team benches, which you never see in these videos because the cameras are also located on this (west) side. This is the side with the broadcast booths and corporate box-seats as well. It was actually a large crowd for this game, given a cold November Tuesday evening in Toronto.

What a great team we have led by a super coach Jesse Marsch. What a disgrace the Canadian sports networks are to Canada by not showing the game live from our BMO field. Shame on you for not supporting the nation team that are doing so well without your help. Hockey, baseball, basketball, NFL and CFL dominate your networks all the time for free, but important soccer games where “our” national team is playing we have to subscribe and if they are lucky them might get a mention on the news. Tv networks don't view it as "important soccer games". It was a tier 2 event. Due to cord cutting, they don't have the budget to pay for tier 2 sports of any type. It has to be free to be shown on their networks.

Suriname is a good team. Up till the last few years, their best players always played for the Netherlands as they held dual citizenship oweing to their colonial past as a Dutch colony. Players like Patrick Kluivert etc had Surinamese heritage etc.

He does have a bit of a weird muffled quality to his voice, which is maybe what you identify as Trump-like. He covers the Canadian games on this "channel" most of the time. He seems to be trying to emulate a famous Canadian broadcaster called Bob Cole, who specialised in ice hockey. He also said "oh, baby!" a lot. I find him far too partisan and phoney, too rah-rah.
