CFMOTO 800MT. KTM's future?

Not pro or anti Chinese in anyway here. But I do know that the Chinese can build to whatever standard clients are willing to pay for. EFI, ABS, phones, computers, whatever. I do know a bit about CF Moto however. Long background in supplying parts to big name manufacturers from the original 9 companies that formed CF Moto over 20 years ago. They built durable quad bikes and side by sides that were not 5 or 6 grand worse than the big names. Not really into the Chinese bling myself but these bikes will get into the market I reckon.They are playing a long game.

I have heard that they can build better quality if they want. But we seem to want cheep so thats what they do

Got an open mind, dropped a deposit on an 800MT Touring and will give it a shot. I have 4 Euro road bikes and it’s a relatively inexpensive ADV entry point. Worked on an NK650 and was impressed with the basic quality. Stuart

If it's cheaper than or equal to the price of a V-strom, heck I'd buy it in a heartbeat...!! Had a TNT600 as a daily driver for 4 years and it never failed me despite the lack of TLC on my end, so I have absolutely no qualms buying another Chinese bike... what more one that's styled by Kiska Design and is based on a successful KTM model. It's a more compelling proposition than the (non-existent) TRK800.

I got a response from CFMoto Australia that said the 700's in June and the 800MT at the end of 2021

I don't know :)).....I have a friend that has a zontes 310R stock that smashes up yamaha MT03 like it's not in the same ball park :)).... CL-X 700 is coming now here :D this year, next year probably the 800MT.... Can't say I fault the Chinese any more now....Why pay more for the same or somewhat less in tech. Reliability aside :)

I know that the 790 frames ( and other stuff were already being made in China by what I heard from an Australian CF Moto dealer that went to China over 12 months ago , he said the new KTM plant at the time was being built across the road from the CFMoto plant and he seen the 790 frames ( they probably just badged them “ made in Austria 🇦🇹 “ also the weight is around 238kg - without luggage I heard on another Utube Vid. And yes I wouldn’t buy one that is totally made in China ( as let’s face it some of parts on most bikes come from China but are at least assembled elsewhere) Like the SWM 300, 500 and 650 all made in Italy 🇮🇹- frames , Wheels, Brembo brakes , engine , Sach suspension ( and that’s what the China 800 is getting not WP ) So panels , levers , tank , and other stuff is made in China to Jeep the price down . Also I wouldn’t buy it no matter what price is was due to their Regime hell bend on world 🌍 domination and most tax they pay goes to there war machine. And they stuffed the world’s economy with there China Virus 🦠
