That little kid is hilarious to watch. Seems like he's not watching the board, and doesn't care, but then often does brilliant moves so clearly he does know what's happening. And he cried at the end when he lost, proving he really does care ! I felt sad for him here, as it was a mate he normally see's. He should of just swapped Queens. But he is a smart kid. He has beaten some pretty high ranked players.

Such a lovable boy. i have been watching his games and his siblings too. They are all chess genius. It hurts me to see them cry when losing and receiving hurtful comments. On a bright side, i was happy to see the other GL Yunker checked his twin at the end of the game

I too am captivated. And I have a theory after watching a few of the videos... not sure if it's anything new: he's operating at the level of language, not the laborious calculation level that our older brains have grown into, to deal with the complexity of chess. For him, pieces are phonemes; moves are words; piece relationships are perhaps thoughts; combinations might be paragraphs but at this point the analogy is just fun. I realize that chess's opening few moves are right out of books, but even those he articulates at spoken speed (and nonchalance)... not deliberative or meditative speed. My favorite part was seeing his peer move in at the death knell, a rare (in my 10 videos seen) moment of adult-style chess seriousness that had to be surrogate no less. Ah, the human brain.
