Part of the reason Dabo finally dipped into the transfer portal is because this past recruitment cycle they had a number of high school recruits lured to other programs with greater money offers, I.E. Graceson Littleton, Bryce Davis, Jordan Young etc. to Texas, Duke, and Michigan as well as the TP departures of Sherrod Covil, Troy Stellato and Noble Johnson.

I feel like I’m starting to not like college football as much. Transfer portal is too much. Can’t even buy a jersey because they will probably be gone next year. Less pride and passion for the school. Whoever has the deepest pockets, will have the best team. More and more like the NFL, which I don’t enjoy as much :/

I’ve already given you the answer. 4 divisions of 64 teams, 4 conferences of 16 teams each, 16 team playoff. Top 4 from each conference in playoffs. Top 4/Bot 4 promote and relegate. That’s the solution. All these people are making it complex because they only care about what they want. It doesn’t have to be complex.

The issue isn’t too complex to fix CFB. The answers to the issue(s) have competing benefits and drawbacks depending on which group with power is looking at that answer. We have yet to realize it’s a fools errand and will never be “right”

There's nobody who will ever have complete understanding. But the main thing "wrong" with college football atm, given its current state, is the same thing that used to make it so great. There's no federal head of college football. You can only get so far being a confederacy, which is not in reference to the 19th century version but the 18th century version in US history. Change means sacrifice, and that seems the last thing conferences want. I don't know what the details might look like, and there's many forms it could take. But if some kind of unified control is not established, you can forget the rest no matter how correct the thinking is on the rest. History teaches us that those who are divided are conquered by those who are united. Maybe not immediately, but eventually and inevitably.

Uhg Josh's take on overtimes is terrible. The GT vs Georgia overtime was incredibly thrilling. I know Josh says "college football isn't other sports" but that such a stupid cop out. Penalty kicks in soccer or shootout in hockey are often the most exciting parts. Heck, I would support a shootout in basketball if it went to three overtimes.

every “deserving” team that has made the CFP and the result/record for each team. 2022: TCU. Beat Michigan, lost 65-7 in national championship 2021: Cincinnati. Lost 27-6. 2020: Notre Dame. Conference champs should only be guaranteed a place in the playoffs. Top 4 teams should get a by. Then it won't reward a team that plays in a smaller conference with a bye, instead of a team that played a higher competition schedule and finished higher but maybe didn't win their conference. Like Tennessee and would allow Notre Dame a chance at a bye.

To me personally, the results of this version of the CFP don’t even matter. The entire process became a travesty when crap teams were given special privileges (aka ENTITLEMENT inclusion & seedings) where the best teams have the hardest path. Perhaps Texas money purchased the simplest path through the CFP for Texas. Penn State obviously also paid big bucks for a no-talent-required path through the first two rounds. This will definitely get the SEC to at least talk about the “🖕🏻 current CFP & we will do our own going forward - bye bye CFP” option. Georgia & Oregon GOT SCREWED BY THE MICHIGAN CHEATER & HIS CORRUPT COMMITTEE. THE BCS and CFP before this year were always CORRUPTED BY SPECIAL PRIVILEGES (aka CHEATING) FOR NOTRE DAME which IS TOO GREEDY TO JOIN A CONFERENCE AND SHOULD NOT BE INCLUDED IN THE CFP EVER.
