Name one high school JV team. All the teams they played in that era were valid teams. If they played any inferior teams it was because there was no other teams to play. You act like Notre Dame and other never played lesser teams. They played one high school team in the 1800s but there wasn't a lot of colleges playing football because the game was in its infancy. In fact it was Michigan that Taught Notre Dame to play the game. Michigan was one of the first teams to play the game.

Ohio has 14 or 18 5 stars. ND has 1 . The bar for entry at ND is miles above any school ND plays. ND is deep in the roster at quite a few different positions. To give credit to Ohio state, they are playing like men on fire after that Michigan loss. It feels like a timeline split. Ohio and ND both deserve it. To say Ohio wins feels right , to say ND wins feels right.

You saw it in 2023 so you know it's good. Benjamin Morrison's replacement is true freshman Leonard Moore; and he is just outstanding. Overall, ND's secondary is as good and maybe better than 2023. But ND must pressure the QB for it to be really effective. Also, expect ND to mix in some zone and try to confuse your QB.

@ I am disagreeing with you. The new CBs are equally as good, but ND has also improved in its safety play and nickel play. Has ND been tested? Yes they have. USC's WRs posed a challenge because of their length and speed. But ND will be fine against OS receivers. They will get some yards for sure, but I believe overall ND should be able to contain them. With OSU this year, I think it is just the multiple ways that they can threaten you that is a challenge. It's hard to cover up everything.

I think we’ll know by the end of the first quarter how this one will play out. Which OSU team will show up? The angry, focused one that came in and dismantled Oregon, or the one that was smokin and jokin in the pre-game vs Texas. If they play like they did vs Texas, ND will make them pay for it, and will likely win the game. If they play like they did vs Oregon, ND has zero chance.

I think they are healthier, idk how much of a gap there actually is Howard’s vs Leonard, idk how much of an advantage that would be RBs. If you switched them on each others teams, both teams would feel solid Defense, I’d take our LBs and I bet OSU would as well Safeties: again, switch downs, watts, Schuler and both teams are hype still Special teams, both have shown they can make plays at times Those numbers. .8 sometimes was the difference. Pretty even matchup It’ll really come down to: can Riley throw the ball and avoid multiple turnovers and can ND create 1 or 2 If not, Angelli needs to make an appearance perhaps. If OSU can run the ball the way they did in 2022, then they’ll win this game it’ll open up that pass. If not, it’ll be a solid game and probably close the majority of the way

Defense needs some take aways (better yet, they need defensive points) and Marty might have to go into his bag of tricks. Golden and Denbrock will leave it all on the field. They are both excellent. While yes Riley Leonard is a threat with his legs, Ohio St has the fastest and most physical defense Notre Dame will have faced. Ohio St will put a spy on Leonard, most likely Cody Simon. Gonna be a real funny day if it happens. So many college football fans think Howard is gonna throw all over the Irish and Leonard won’t be able to throw. If Leonard has more passing yards than Howard and they win? Oh boy I got A lot of bookmarks on Twitter for that one! I think Leonard not being able to throw is such a lazy narrative by people who don’t watch the Irish play. They don’t HAVE to throw cause they’re so good running the ball.

@@andrewzimmerman7394 I mean will Howard is by far the better passer.. That's not really something you can argue.. 9 of 15 games Howard's gone over 240 yards.. Leonard had not broke 240 yards 1 time his best game was 226... 66.5 to 72.6 percent completions.. On a similar number of attempts Howard has 402 Leonard has 372.. Howard 33 TDs vs 10 ints Leonard is 18 and 8.. And by QBR will Howard is 3 Leonard isn't even in the top 25.. I'm glad Irish is backing their QB but be Realistic..
