{CFS} Never Been in Love MEP || Happy Aromantic Week!

Hello, friends! I've seen some comments that have prompted me to address a couple of things concerning this MEP. 1) **Not every character is canon representation.** A lot of the characters chosen for this MEP are here because of popular fan theories or headcanons of the editors that did the parts. We felt that as long as they had a strong enough "vibe" they counted. 2) **Not every character is aroace.** A lot of the characters we chose were either asexual OR aromantic, and hit various spaces on the spectrum, including demi- and grey-. Only a few characters are aroace. Thank you everyone for watching this MEP, the sheer amount of positive comments and feedback we have received is astronomical, far beyond what we ever expected. We love our Alphabet Mafia followers and it doesn't matter where you fall, you are a valid person and we love that about you.

I'm ace and aro spec and a whole bunch of Rayllum shippers (like 60% of the fandom) on tumblr are too! They definitely have the vibes (demisexual Rayla and demiromantic Callum in particular) and it was such a wonderful surprise to see her and Callum here!! Love this all so much!

i've got to disagree, it was so out of nowhere, they had no chemistry and suddenly Rayla was completely in love with him, and in season 3 they were making out ALL THE TIME, it ruined the show, and Rayla, who used to be so cool then just became Callum's girlfriend from that point on, tbh, to me they are the complete opposite of what this mep represents actually lol they were great friends with NO hints of romance in no given time, the same experiences they shared together they shared with a child and a pet, they literally only got together cause 'main character girl and boy must have sex!' and honestly in 2019 (?) i would expect it to be not so uncommon for us to see a male and female leads be just friends without getting together :/ (especially when one of them already has a romantic interest) as an aro myself i have no idea why people absolutely idolize this so old fashioned and forced hetero relationship on the internet, all my friends who watched the show were pretty stunned at S2 ending and Rayla said,, that sorry for the rant, guess it will take a while to have some cool female characters that don't end up licking their fellow leads faces by the end of the show

Wow, this song gets it. Ive always felt out of sync with people because of it. I'm aromantic as well, I love to watch romantic anime but I've never wanted that for myself. I just liked watching other people getting their version of happiness, whereas for me I am already pretty happy with myself, I'm not really waiting for love. It seems like it should be something so simple to understand, but many people just don't get it. They either think I'm a lesbian or just inexperienced, and it doesn't help that I'm reaching a marriagable age and people around me are getting married while I don't wish to settle down, all I really want is for things to continue the way they always have been. Maybe things might change later on, I'm not completely closed to that idea, but I definitely know that it's not like that right now.

I’m 30 years old and I feel the same way! I haven’t had a relationship in about 10 years, and in that whole time I’ve never felt any internal pressure or strong desire to be in a relationship. I’m not completely against it but I never feel the need to go out of my way to make it happen. Luckily my family and friends don’t really care so I don’t feel a lot of external pressure either. Maki and Sunakawa are the best Aroace characters I seen for a while. I appreciate that Maki and Sunakawa doesn’t hate love or romance. Maki treats romance as a real life movie but supports his friends my favorite scene in the manga was when Yuu said she wish she was like Maki but he says she should be happy that she can feel romantic attraction and sexual attraction and that she shouldn’t envy him. While Maki is happy and comfortable with his sexuality he wants his friends to be happy with their sexuality too and not envy his. Sunakawa is the best friend anyone wish they could ever have while not confirm he aroace. He definitely doesn’t care about the attention and only cares about his best friend.

I only learned about asexuality in a conversation with college friends when I was 20 years old. I started questioning but didn't really think too much about it for the next several years. Viewing Hazbin Hotel last year revived the question. After that I told first a close cousin and then my parents that I thought I was ace. They were perfectly fine with it. I'm still questioning about being aro since I've never been in love but unlike sexual intimacy, I've liked romantic content and did have some desire for it. At this point, I'm more confidant saying I'm ace but not aro.

Long rant: I have just come into a realization that I might be aroace... The kids at school made it look so easy to fall in love and find the perfect person for them. I am now 21, and mostly around this age, people are probably mature enough to understand love, relationships, sexual attraction, and many more... For me, I felt like I was stunted, like the idea of love and attraction (and even sex) is mesmerizing, but I don't know what it feels like, let alone if I ever experienced genuine attraction at some point. I grew up in a borderline homophobic and acephobic household where "girls should be with boys" and "you won't feel complete if you aren't married or you don't have any children". I guess today, is what I consider as my first and secretive pride month. I don't know how my life will go on now that I have figured out that I am aroace. Maybe I'll find a close community, or at least a Queer Platonic Relationship, or maybe I'll adopt kids (or pets) of my own. I'm just glad that I wasn't the only one experiencing this, and I'm glad that being Aromantic or Asexual doesn't change the fact that you are still valuable and priceless.. P.S. I should've known I was aroace because Merida is my favorite disney princess...
