The Porygon/Rotom is a reference to the ILoveYou worm, notorious for how prolific and potentially damaging it was in the early age of business networks. Most of the victims avoided extensive damage because they ran the worm’s program on work computers, and those systems had plenty of access to back-ups.

Porygon + Rotom is supposed to be a "love letter" virus email. The Porygon line has a lot of ridiculous meme fusions like that - Porygon-Z plus Lopunny or Gardevoir, for example, is a dig at "hot singles near you" malvertisements, Porygon-Z plus Pikachu makes the dialog box from the poorly made Pikachu trojan horse malware, and Porygon plus Ekans is literally the game "Snake".

I don't know if I'd say that, because of my bias for Cyndaquil, but I will say that it at least extends to that region having the water starter. I don't know when I'll play the Hoenn games, but when I do, I know I'm gonna go with Mudkip.

@@AnnieC.1993 Blaziken is certainly my least favorite of the three but its still one of the better Fire starters. I've never been understood the hype for Cyndaquil's line. Cyndaquil is cute and Quilava is a solid midstage but Typhlosion has always felt really bland to me. Its always struck me as a solid first-draft more than anything. Should have had more of its back ablaze or stripes or something instead of just being a mostly generic body. It certainly doesn't help that it has the exact stat spread Charizard does and a bad movepool (regular for Fire types to be fair). I'm always gonna be a Feraligatr man for Gen2 (in fairness it is my second favorite starter series wide), he may be a poor mans Gyarados but it turns out thats still pretty cool and its certainly the most useful of the three Gen 2 starters (by virtue of two being bad).

I notice your pokemons almost always have no EXP on their EXP bar. Are you using rare candies to level them up and fighting only the trainers? Not fighting wild pokemons and not grinding levels that way makes the challenge easier...
