Walter Payton was the best all-around running back to ever play the game. He could run, catch, block, return kicks and pass. I'm glad I got to see him play in the late 70's and 80's.

I grew up outside of Chicago and in 1979 me and my best friend went to see the Bears play a benefit basketball game. Payton wasn't very tall but he could slam it no problem, it was like he was jumping off a trampoline! They set up a table at the end to sign autographs and when I slid my 4th thing in front of Walter, he looked at me and said "this is the last one ". I still have one of them

I wonder if variants are printed in the exact same proportion? For instance, if the total news stand print run was 120,000 with 6 variants, would that be 20,000 each, or would it be different for the population size of the area of the country that particular one was distributed?
@sportsmags5 ай бұрын
@@secretcombos I think that it varied based on the geographic area that received that particular cover.

awesome kershaw cover one question on the walter payton would you rather have a high grade on a subscription ie 9.2 9.4 or higher on a first cover superstar like payton ali gretzky namath bird jordan etc or a low grade on a newstand ie 4 4.5 5 thank you brad love your videos

@tomharrison6607 For me personally, I would rather have a Walter Payton newsstand 4.5 than any subscription other than a 9.8. But I think that's just a personal preference that varies by collector.

Actually, Justin Verlander is the best recent pitcher, having more wins (by 40 or so), more world series wins (2-1) and more no-hitters (3-1) than Kershaw. Kershaw has a better ERA, but he also got to face a pitcher, at least a couple times a game, for the great majority of his career. I don't hate or love either one, just stating facts.
