It will contain one module dedicated to the Building Blocks. You'll learn all the advanced options that Rigify offers. And in another module, we'll rig several complex characters together. Started from first chapter couple of days ago. Tried rigging a very complicated Robot Fish that my friend made. Made many mistakes and got it working but it is not pretty. Wanted to learn bones, because I made the fish rig from scratch. And then saw your video for Rigify. So happy that you made this series, and the hard work that it took. How I even made the fish rig and got it to work is a miracle. Not happy making a hacker type rig. thanks again.

I have worked FBXs and OBJs between Blender, Wings3D and Unity. These videos here are what got me past the 'other rigging' attempts after 1 year of failing with other methods. I now push these rigged models into Unity with the Asset FinalIk. I am past all the hurdles and now just need to buckle all the efforts together. Thanks. I am always looking for the best and easiest method to achieve something. Your vids are detailed just enough to get the task done with exacting methods. Thanks for keeping to the point. I can rest assured that the Frankenstein model is the only one anyone needs to know to do just about anything.

CGDive in fact I actually do, so I made theis tiger model and I rigged it with rigify cat armature, parent it with automatic weight and fixed it later, everything works like a charm thanks to you so thank you very much, now to animate the walk cycle of a tiger there’s something special about it, when he lift his arm the fingers contarct and when he puts them on the ground the fingers spread, I need to add a single controller/driver to do that and same thing goes for curling them needs a driver for that too, and one other question can we use some parts of the face like the eyes to do the blinking without using all face features? I see you couldn’t do that with the ears, thank you again and I really appreciate your work, I’ll upload a video of the model and the animation so far, it is meant for sale and I’ll give it to you for free if you want it and you can use it how ever you like except for redistribution.

@@forrestgump2114 Hi, and sorry for the late reply! There are a bunch of ways to achieve what you're referring to. One is to actually add a new controller in your rig. I do that a lot in my full Rigify course. If you have it, watch the Ogre part. The way I do it is by using raw_copy rig type in the Meta Rig. I'll probably do a simpler KZbin video about that eventually. Another way is to add this controller to the Generated rig. This should be fairly simple if you know basic rigging. Yet another way is to use the Pose Library in Blender. Here is a nice video about that kzbin.info/www/bejne/haivZaqkltSqb8U Sorry that I can't give you an actual solution but that's almost impossible to do in a comment :) But I'll keep your question in mind and I'll try to make a video on this topic in the future.

I've now bought your course as it is so good! There is, however, a minor problem, which might be 'an unpredictable error'! I followed your instructions closely, but the generated rig for the horse resulted in no visible control bones for the tail, and the generated rig for the human resulted in no visible control bones for the ears. (In both cases, Parenting the meta-rig directly to the mesh worked perfectly.) This was the case both for 2.82 & 2.83 beta. Any suggestion, please, would be welcome. Meanwhile, I'll move on to Chapter 5 and the correct method!

Yes it is! Feel free to experiment with that. But keep in mind that if you re-generate the rig, all your edits will be simply deleted. Im stuck on this lesson. I get errors when I try and generate the rig. RIGIFY ERROR: Bone 'thigh.R': Input to rig type must be a chain of 4 bones. Incorrect armature for type 'paw' - RIGIFY ERROR: Bone 'thigh.R': Input to rig type must be a chain of 4 bones. Incorrect armature for type 'paw'

You probably disconnected one of the leg bones... in edit mode go through your leg bones one by one and move them slightly to see if any of them is not connected to the previous one. If it says thigh.R then it must be the rear leg. If you can't figure it out, send me the file :)

@@CGDive Progress made but another issue surfaced. I had an extra hidden bone on the thigh.r. I deleted it and the rig was made. However now the left rear leg has no controllers on it.

@@sethfromcommunityservice8909 I can only guess at this point. Feel free to send me the blend. You can upload it to pasteall.org/blend/ My guess is that something small went wrong along the way. Rigify errors are hard to deal with until you get used to the system. But that's what all the videos are for. I would suggest starting this lesson over.

@@CGDive Thank you for replying. I will start over from scratch and see if I have better luck.
