ive noticed animations always use elderly people as characters, and i think thats really cool because whether you notice it or not, it raises awareness for them. 366 days is a great example of this sort of style.

I'm thinking that the older robot is supposed to be like her older son while as the 'new and improved' robot is supposed to be a young person that took care of her. The younger person is draining the elderly lady's bank account. The old lady finds out and fires the young person, however now she doesn't have enough money to live in her original house so her son and her move into a little trailer.
