At the end there without knowing orange's caps were incredibly low, I think it would have been safer to just keep a cardblock on them through red's capital and slowly expand the cardblock out into their territory, until you are confident they have much less troops having missed out on trades. If they had sufficient protection on their caps, they would have gotten easy cards, too, due to you just focusing on breaking them. I would have been a much harder 1v1.

Orange had 4 cards at the time, so a pretty good chance of having a card trade anyway. Card blocking had a less than 20% chance of preventing a card trade. Breaking and scouting out the caps to see if they were well defended was a decent play. He could always reinforce back to the former-red cap once he was done braking/scouting and would know, at least, what he was dealing with.

Orange gets maybe 50 troops as the trades just hit 30 at 8:40; no way they get through. Therefore, the cardblock is still a better strategy, I think. We don't really care if orange gets that trade if they won't be getting any more trades because of the block.

@@RappelzWikiaPolska Even if it was obvious orange was low, there's no harm in playing it safe, if you have no confirmation. After, all you never know how a game could end up in progressive with fog and all that. I recently watched a player with 7 troops left win in a game because they weren't killed off in in attack. If orange even only had like 20s protecting their caps, this game could have ended very differently. Orange would have probably traded to get back in the game and then it would have been beneficial to have a cardblock on them.

You're great at this game but I feel like there's some work to be done on reading your opponents, for instance that "Oops" at the end was clearly directed at themselves/red and not so much at you, there's often a pattern of you misinterpreting opponents during these videos but that's one element you make up for with cool-headed strategies pretty easily
