I got this game when I was younger, and for some reason it's stayed in my GBA bag ever since. Probably because I loved Pac-Man Arrangement so much- it was like the only version of Pac-Man that I could get into, because it wasn't as demanding as the original in monitoring the ghosts, and let's you keep playing through levels even if you run out of lives (you're score just resets). And each world feels fresh and exciting as you play through the game. The final boss is really cool, too. That being said, the later levels make it a lot harder to stay alive, and probably warranted a lot of quarters back in the day if you wanted to finish the game. It's much more fast-paced than the original, and the art style/presentation is fantastic, and the music is fantastic. Uhhhh!!!

my cousin had this cart when we were growing up. used to always borrow it whenever we had our gbas. arrangement is one of the first games i felt genuinely compelled to play for as long as i possibly could.

Also I remember playing Pac Mania as a cabinet as a kid, good times. Was blown away when I saw it was listed in this collection for the gba, and it looked about as good.

A mall arcade I went to had Pac-Man Arrangement and I loved it a lot and was impressed when it came to the GBA.

Derek, if you want to check out a few other cool "Arrangement" titles, you should try & pick up Namco Museum for the GameCube. It includes Pac-Man Arrangement along with Arrangement variants for Galaga & Dig Dug as well. I think you'd enjoy them.

I would avoid Pac-Man Collection, GBA Namco Museum and GBA Namco Museum: 50th Anniversary because they will not save your high scores.

It's a bit annoying that Bandai Namco canceled the Wii U version of Pac-Man Museum and put this on Virtual Console instead, but back in 2001 this would've been a really great collection to have on GBA. On the GBA, the collection is a bunch of really solid ports.

Exactly. That's the one thing about CGRUndertow that I don't like; reviews where he talks trash about games that people actually grew up with. And it's not just Pac-Man World and Super Mario Bros. 2. Games like Donkey Kong 64, Super Mario Land, even Nicktoons Unite. All of these games were hated on for reasons that weren't even justified.

It's pretty messed up that Pac-Man has fallen off of a cliff. Pac-Man World 3 was truly my last real favorite Pac-Man game. After that, it seems like he tried to act hip for 5 year old children and completely missed the point.

+James McGraw Namco Museum Remix on Wii's pretty cool at least, one reason being it has what I think is the much better version of Pac 'n Roll (a DS game where Pac-Man's a ball, but the levels still seem platform-ish) But yeah. The less of the Ghostly Adventures cartoon and games, the better

I can tell you. That is because of Ms. Pac-Man (who she deserves so much better) already being on Namco Museum for Game Boy Advance. Pac-Man Collection is basically volume 2 of Namco Museum which adds the remaining games sans the arrangements of Dig Dug and Galaga and Pole Position 2.
