The Tatooine levels were the best levels. Its literally one of the few video games where you can kill kids.

The tatooine levels were the tits. Going around, exploring, talking to the locals and having them react to your choices was awesome. Also, you could kill kids in the game. Think about it, a Star Wars game where you could kill children. It was hilarious

This was my favorite game as a kid. It just so happens that tattooine was my favorite level because I enjoyed free roaming around and all that. That game had a big influence on Knights of the old republic for xbox which was my favorite xbox game.

Then why did you get rid of it in the first place? Did you get it back in these last 8 years? It's coming digitally to PS4 and PS5 now.

I feel like mediclorians weren't even that bad. They already kind of established that there was some sort of genetic aspect with the force in the OT with the force being strong in luke's family. The thing I thought was really bad was annakin having a virgin birth.

I distinctly remember being at toys r us reading the players guide for this game. I thought it looked so epic. I remember reading the part about fighting darth maul thinking it would be so amazing. I never actually played the game since I didn’t have a PlayStation. Seeing this video now makes me wonder if this is even the same game... it looked so movie-like in the players guide!

I wouldn't be surprised if they just put screencaps from the film itself into the guide.

those who are old enough to remember this game was suppose to come out before the movie was released by a week. instead it did not come out for almost a month to 2 months after the film. I preordered it at Toys R Us(yeah that store) back in april of 99 and did not get the game until late june when it was suppose to come out in may due to some delays.

Depends, really. What ages the worse are "realistic" sprites.

I loved this game. I think it is the only game I still have holding onto it, just in case I ever run across an ultra cheap PlayStation. I imagined as a kid this is all that really happened and they left it out of the movie. It made the movie better in my mind. I love this game!
@cerevor11 жыл бұрын
My brother got this after the movie came out. I never thought it was a masterpiece but I also didn't think it deserved the disastrous ratings it got. I thought it was an ordinary videogame, with all the motivating factors and immersion you could expect from the average action game. I think the "concept" would be a huge hit nowadays as an indie-game...

I had the PC version of this game and man it wasn't as blurry looking. I wish it worked on Windows 7 though.

Of course I totally agree. I'm saying a 2d 16 bit game holds up better than a 3d ps1 game. Adore both systems but it was very early on in the 3d world where 16bit was a time where developers were very familiar with making 2d games. I just think it has aged better :-)
@kaiserdragon3311 жыл бұрын
i bought 2 CD's of this same game and both had the same problems. crashed on a a specific early part of the game (about half hour of advancing on the story) so never finished it.

I still find 16 bit 2D sprite graphics to be very appealing on the eyes but a lot of PS1 graphics look so fragile and jagged now. This game wasn't too bad, it was better than the movie anyway.

The film was not so great. The game, however, was actually pretty good at the time but unfortunately underrated. I genuinely enjoyed playing this game on the PSX back in 1999-early noughties. I don't agree with the reviewer about the "boring bits". I think the RPG elements helped to immerse the player further into the world, especially during the Tatooine levels mid-way through the game. The camera was mostly okay but the gameplay needed a rotatable camera rather than a fixed thirdperson view.

Actually 16 bit(sprites) always age better. Its because they're sprites.

3D graphics don't age well, do they? 2D has an eternal quality to it, because it generally relies on art, and there's no concerns with clipping and aliasing, etc. I can go back and play Diablo II, or even Mario, and enjoy the visual style.
