Buried treasure, indeed. This game deserved better attention, and definitely warranted a sequel. Even the Gamecube version was decent, aside from the longer load screens, and using the C-Stick as the camera was awkward with those sharp corners it has on its eight directional sides. The XBox version ran the smoothest from what I recall.

I'm replaying this game right now on the PS2, after a 20-year break. I originally played it on the Xbox, so the graphics were a little better, but I prefer the PS controller better. Good times!

Play this on PC. Much better. Also, this is one of the best games ever made and the only one in it's kind. This style and aesthetic should be used for creating an open-world universe such as Watch Dogs only different in content and expanding in the comic book laws of gravity to it's boundaries and choices.

Got frightened by the snowman surprise. Got the stones to finish it after i abandoned it for a few years. Glad i did. One of the greatest narrative based games i've ever played. Never before or since have i had such fun following a story in a video game.

this is literally one of my most fav games of all time. I can't tell you how manby hours i put into this game. I sold this game along with my ps2 a few years back. But i just brought a brand new copy of XIII as a personal promise for buying a ps2 in the future and experiencing the greatness that i have missed for quite some time.

Pc version more or less solves the minor game play issues. I know I know "the PC version is better" is played out, but it IS a FPS, so the shooting and control is a bit more fluid. I have the PS2 version first, and never really got into it, but when I got it on PC, it quickly became one of my favorites.

When I heard a few weeks ago that a game called XIII was coming to the iOS, I fully expected it to be this game and not the crappy point n' click adventure made by Microids. This game deserves a rerelease on XBLA and PSN just like Beyond Good & Evil was rereleased on XBLA and PSN.

No clue but it was a Ubisoft release so you can never tell, but if you go the digital route get it from GOG it's only 5.99 DRM free and comes with the soundtrack, manual, and 2 wallpapers for your computer's desktop for no extra charge.

Shame you didn't mention the multiplayer. I had the Gamecube version, 4 player multiplayer was fantastic. Even if you didn't have other people to play with, the game provided you with some pretty good bot options.

I managed to find this game in the bargain bin of a local video store. Not bad. Good story, reminded me a bit of "Golgo 13", gameplay was pretty decent. Not the biggest must-own, but definitely worth a look.
