This game fucking rules! Saw the mediocre reviews before even playing it and went with low expectations but I was shocked how awesome this game actually is. Fuck the pro video game critics like Gamespot or G4, this game is simply a haven for everyone who seeks brutal violence, mass murdering against criminals and vigilante justice.

It's so awesome to hear Thomas Jane playing The Punisher again in this game when he was playing him in 2004 film The Punisher and it is the best Punishermovie in my opinion :)

Here is something I still question to this day, When I was six this game came out and my parents had no problem with me playing it but when I had to bed my parents for 50 Cent Bulletproof even though that game looks like sesame street compared to what you can do in this game.

Got it on ebay few months back for like, £3. Bargain of the century. Godlike game, written by Ennis it really is like playing his Punisher MAX comics. Plus, the music! The opening theme should be held in the annals of video game Hall of Fame for its magnificence. The level with Nick Fury is bad ass.

One of the most underrated superhero games. It'll always hold a special place in my heart, and since it was so awesome I think it's just as good it never got a sequel, as sequels will more often than not shit on a game's legacy. But they should definitely bring this back remastered and with some new features, or at least sell it on PSN so that the newer gens of gamers can enjoy this classic.

Was expecting a crappy and cheaply designed tie in but this is actually a totally hidden gem! Its story and atmosphere are fantastic, and rather than generic, scripted as hell levels the design has some variety. I will say that the only way to truly experience the game to its fullest is on hard difficulty, because it unlocks more medals and actually has competent AI (on normal I don't recall ever losing more than 20 percent of my health, whereas on hard if you don't anticipate the enemy you will die often.)

Great review, but you kinda left out that this game probably has the most chatty mooks of any game, but that's NOT a bad thing as their dialogue is often darkly hilarious: "Oh no, he killed Kenji" "How do you reload this damn thing?!" "It's my first day, don't hurt me!" "Daredevil never killed us!" And many more...

Hell yes they do.... If you think about it Punisher was teh building block for what eventually became Saints Row.... The third person camera is exactly the same, and the control feels very similar.... Can't wait for Saints Row IV....

Loved it, one of my favorites of the day. Every bullet you shot into those creeps left a hole and you could inspect your marksmanship of dual wield M60s on full-auto, after the firefight was won. Blast their limbs to mist at range with a .50 cal, or do the hotspot kills which were fun. My favorite was just tossing them from a cliff and shooting them up on their free fall way down.

This game may look like a generic 3rd person shoot em up. But it was much much more, I don't know what spice they added in the mixture but this game was so fun and felt unique. I loved the close kills and the awesome cameos, and the special kills were magnificent. The game also had very good atmosphere and levels. Every one of them felt good and non generic. The cameos ere awesome too.

Did I say they were bad? I actually think Batman:AC is one of the best games ever made. All I'm saying is if we were to judge them from Batman they didn't do gunplay well they actually didn't have any gunplay whatsoever which, even though Punisher would still have melee combat as you have said, would be an integral part of the game, and yes developers can be diverse but there are other developers better suited to do a Punisher a game.
