I don’t think people actually understand how hard winter-guard is, it’s so stressful, literally takes blood sweat and tears. This is my first year and I’ve cried so many times in one month but it is so worth it.

While this is an amazing show, I got to give props to whoever edited the practice performances together...the flow is seamless with no overlapping edges where you cut the different practices together! It’s a shame that the only videos of this show in it’s entirety, with costumes & all, are recorded from the farthest vantage point possible. I understand that they did it so you can see everyone at all times, but being so far up made it so you couldn’t see a lot of the individual details that makes this show great! Example: other than tosses, sabers are notoriously difficult to see..even from a closer vantage point..but between the mat design & the costumes, it’s even ore problematic...add in the height of where the videos were recorded & it’s pretty much impossible to see them.
