There is popular story that sant Haridas who was Guru of Tansen offered this shuddha Bhairav raag in early morning to lord Krishna. One day Akbar secretly heard this raag from hiding and loosing control said Subhan Allah. Sant Haridas so barred this Raag from Krishna puja. Insteadfrom that day raag Bhaieavi was performed in krishna temples.

the ghazal "mere humnafas" gives me much a flavor of raag darbari kanhda. then why we put it in bhairawi? although in bhairwi sudh swar use kar kar sakte hain.
