Hopefully, someone with a little more biblical knowledge can weigh in, but it's my understanding that the Abimelech Abraham told that story to in chapter 20 is not the same Abimelech Isaac told the story to in chapter 26. I believe Abimelech was a title similar to Pharaoh. @ That was an interesting read, thank you. I asked my pastor and he said that was the same Abimelech who Abraham dealt with. He knew Isaac was doing the same thing so he didn’t fall for it because he had a different heart posture. Essentially with Isaac Abimelech was more of a spiritual guide.
