@@J0ker_66 Honestly, they're all fun (I guess I can't speak to the UH-1 or the Gazelle). The Hip really has that old school Soviet feel, the Hind feels like you're cruising around in a school bus with rockets on stub wings, the Apache feels like a real war machine that makes taking out targets so easy you wonder how it's even possible. The Ka-50 is super fun to throw around the sky and still retains that old Russian helicopter charm while being a little more advanced.

@@danielfarmer8967 I use the DCS standalone client but buy all modules, campaigns, etc through Steam. This way I have an option, Steam has much better downloads. Sure I don't get the miles but lately module makers aren't using the miles system anymore so that's mute so why not get them where I can use them on either platform instead of just one. I bought every DCS module, terrain, and campaign on Steam before DCS finally made the standalone client better so I see no need to change now after over 150 purchased items.

Or Razbam can resolve their issue with ED. Why does everyone assume ED just randomly decided to cut off finances from a long time developer for no reason...despite them confirming that ED doesn't have the source code. Why aren't people griping at Razbam every day? Razbam withholding the source code should be what people are mad about, because then if they decide to leave the game, Razbam just guaranteed ED can't update the module you paid money for themselves.

I don't know why people feel the need to come in here going FIX RAZBAM! as if the developers and 3D modelers are moonlighting as the ED legal team on the weekends and have completely forgotten that they have a legal dispute to settle. It's between the managers and the lawyers. No amount of posting on KZbin is going to make that process go any faster. It just gets tiring seeing people comment "Fix the Razbam thing!" as if ED doesn't know they are currently sorting things out legally, all while oddly working on the assumption that this is all ED's issue to sort out. It's like Razbam being the one to cause the issue isn't a possibility, because I have yet to see a single person who's posting "ED FIX THIS" also then go to Razbam's Discord and tell them to fix the ED problem.

This is cool but what’s the point? Combined Arms has been forgotten about and thus no ground warfare that matters exists in DCS. Ground AI doesn’t work, and the infantry hasn’t been touched since the creation of LOMAC. This is so frustrating as a person who loves this game to see ED continue to put the cart before the horse.

Over on the ROTOROPS OFFICIAL server, we have a Fatcow implementation with the new CH-47. Land anywhere, deploy the FARP, and your buddies can refuel, rearm, and pickup troops. Takeoff again to redeploy elsewhere, or change slots and the FARP remains.
