This may be why I have special feelings for them. Their resilience, endeavor, and devotion impresses me so much, and earn my sincere respect and love, after watching their performances in the 59th joint concert. I will feel really happy and honored if they can come to Taiwan again.
I am really captivated by this marching band! This is the only band that I shed tears, put a smile on my face and gives me goosebumps whenever I watched them perform!!

Once upon a time, a drum major so fair, Beautiful, smart, and with talent to spare, Upon graduation, she vanished from sight, Into the future, beyond reach and light. But at that moment, a fairy did appear, With a name that sounded quite queer, Extracurricular Activity was her name, And without her help, Tachibana was not the same. Thanks to this fairy, a new drum major arose, And with her talents, the school's spirit glows, With music and dance, and extracurricular fun, The students of Tachibana shine like the sun. So let us all praise this magical sprite, Who brings joy and wonder, day and night, Extracurricular Activity, we thank you so, For making Tachibana's spirit glow and grow!

I have studied the Japanese culture for some years now. And it is this culture what drives KT Their culture is very different from the West. It is the very reason that Tachibana is so successful. It's so sad to see them leave after three years of hard work and dedication.

@@Guard-Reg Hi Peter Perfectly explained on the difference between the east and the west in attitude and beliefs, along with behavioural characteristics. Respect is a fundamental principle in the relationship between the cultures. That is shown by the first and second years to the senior leaders. That reflects the only time the western countries have it in the military, but before people shout me down. The kids are doing it because they want to and not have to. Which makes them motivated and successful. The future is bright the future is Orange 🍊

@@Dodger0103 Thank you for your reply, and of course you are spot on. I don't know if you know this, Roger. But the first and second year have now been amalgamated and now have to share the workload. There was in the early days a lot of bullying going on. Tachibana is a private school and to be in that school you have to be a rich kid and do extracurricular activities. Once in, there is no escape. Quitting is not an option.

Everyone will graduate someday. And it will be passed on to the next generation. Let us watch over you quietly and warmly. I think that's what a ture fan of Kyoto Tachibana band should be. It's just my personal opinion. いつかは、皆んな卒業していきます。そして、次の世代に引き継がれます。私達は静かに、暖かく見守りましょう。それが真の京都橘ファンなのだと思います。私の私見ですけどね。
The best marching band.. watching from USA new friend

Why do people in the USA and elsewhere want to EXPLOIT KT school children and alumni again in 2025? In 2018, each KT Student and Alumni musicians were asked to PAY about JPY40,000 (=USD3700) out of their own pockets EACH in order to go to California and perform FREE SHOWS. They then won a prize of ONLY US$2,500 for the whole group when they won the best band contest (the Students + alumni spent USD750,000 to gain USD2,500?). In comparison, Taiwan under President Tsai in 2022 fully sponsored KT's trip so that the girls and boys paid nothing out of pocket. KT should be fully sponsored or at least crowdfunded for RP2025 or else the KT girls and boys should just refuse to go to Rose Parade ever again.
It is suggested that you must play this music repertoire when Tachibana participates in the Annual Rose Parade in USA! Bravo Kyoto-Tachibana SHS Green Band 👏✌️

@@set3777 I read somewhere they did a crowd funding and reached the target within Japan without needing to go international, although many international fans attempted to contribute with limited success. I would not call it exploitation. This trip is probably the highlight of their KT experiences.
