Translation of Ai Mori in 14:52 is incorrect. She said the boulders in the finals were her weakness so she'd be happy to just top 1. Considering considering that dynamic movements is really her weakness, 2 of those boulders really are hard for her. 1 she somehow avoided the coordination and 3 she didn't get even a zone

I loved watching the comp! Very nice of people in chat to translate what the commentators were saying, made it much more immersive. Favourite moment was definitely Tomoa showing Risa the dyno on her boulder :D

Amazing, the Japanese climbing community is just amazing! Positive vibes and health rivalry and competition! Seeing Ai frustrated at not being able to complete the last boulder speaks volumes of her and everyone's passion and tenacity to overcome their weaknesses! I mean, she's amazing but he did get first in the boulder final, which was pretty cool considering who he was up against! Plus he seemed really strong on slab and the toe hook static-y beta on the last dyno was cool, from that it seems he and Ai might have similar styles.
