"Preserving history through music."
Archivum Musicum
Description: According to Piotr Stachiewicz and Jerzy Dargiel, who witnessed, among other things, the creation of the song, "Ziutek" - Jozef Szczepanski wrote the words in the Old Town, during his stay at Krasinski Palace, after his group defending the ruins of the Ghetto was relieved. It was also there that "Ziutek" performed the "Parasol" assault song (that was its original title) for the first time in front of his comrades-in-arms. When, after the fall of the Old Town and evacuation through the sewers, the bloodied battalion entered Srodmiescie, it was this song that was sung. After the war, it was published in the Songbook of the Deputy.

It was the Soviets not the western allies. We couldn’t help because the land was supposed to go to the Soviets as part of a deal

@@NotNormal654 A deal which was decided without the agreement of Poland's government in Britain, so yes, it was basically betrayal and the western allies sold us to Soviets out of fear, despite our huge commitment to the war efforts. Polish pilots destroyed the most german planes during the battle of Britain. The western allies did a foolish decision which was believing that the Soviets were trustworthy allies and that they could hand them over eastern europe to ensure peace.

The soviets did not allow allied planes to land on their airfields and deliver supplies to Poland. Allies tried long range drops from Britain, but it wasn't a good solution.

not quite nothing, western alllies made some moves/inquireis or tried to, dorop supplies and so on but the ussr saw it as basically actively convenient for them politically to have them be left alone; it was a 'two birds with one stone' rather than creating a headache for themselves, with having to destroy a large force with so many eyes of the world on it (hq, radio broadcasts available unlike vilnius and lviv besides being a larger and more powerful force than either) - so it was actually a simply a "good move" to actively reduce them without creating a headache for themselves they almost admitted it was for this, its 'anti-soviet'

I'm ashamed on behalf of my country (Britain) that we went behind Poland's back, signed it off to the soviets and did nothing to even recognise the uprising.

Yes becous despite conflict between pro-London Home Armmy (Armia Krajowa - AK) and pro-Moscow Peopel's Armmy (Armia Ludowa - AL), in Worsow upraising they had stand all together. And even among let-wing Home Armmy members such as poet Kamil Baczyński there were pro-Moscow or neutral to Soviets members.

terrible spelling. No, the AL was Moscow-created and Moscow-controlled not 'pro-Moscow', created by soviet agents and designed entirely for foreign poliocy goalsit wasn't an independet forc. Besides your terrible spelling and egregious false narratives, the melody like many others was not taken because they liked the people who made the original sogn witht he same melody lol, I don't know if you understand the basic fact that melodies are appropriated from different popular marches and military songs for use in different lyrics; same with folk songs @@arkadiuszdomeredzki9874

@@arkadiuszdomeredzki9874 It's not that deep. People in need don't have time to think about melodies. They need song to just feel better, strenghten morale and go on. Well know and liked melody also helps song to spread faster and soldiers are already used to it. It doesn't really matter where did the melody come from.

"Oddział stoi, jak stał" If the line mentions steel, shouldnt it be spelled "jak stal," just like anywhere else? The way it's spelled with "Ł jak Łukasz," it sounds more like "the squad stands the way it stood."

There are no 'national' melodies, the contents are those who use it. there is one song using a melody from an older soviet song, is there something confusing for you about it? Or do you have nothing else to fuel your buttrhurt
