Okay, I have a little story that makes this song really special to me. Well, last year, around March 2013, my friend introduced me to Vocaloid (and of course, my first song was "World is Mine"). So I did a little "experimenting" with Vocaloid music, discovering different Vocaloids/UTAUloids, different genres of music, etc. Well, one day I heard this song and really loved it. Like, REALLY loved it. But, being the idiot I am, I clicked on another song without looking at the name of this one, not even caring until it clicked the next day. And I said "CRAP! I LOST THAT AMAZING SONG!" So for almost a year, I looked and looked and looked for this song, and couldn't find it. I gave up around February 2014. A couple of weeks ago, I was cleaning my bathroom, so I put on a two-hour Hatsune Miku mix and about 15 minutes into it, I heard this song. I was like "Oh my god! It's the song! :D". Then I looked in the description for the song and looked it up. I found the song. Now I'm CONSTANTLY listening to it! YAY! HAPPY ENDINGS!

What constitutes my "favorite song" fluxuates from week to week depending on what my mood is, but after some deliberation between this and Unfragment by HSP, Memory is definitely the BEST Hatsune Miku song there is, in my opinion. Not a single missed note. Literally perfection from start to finish

It would be nice if the lyrics were actually provided for every song I've uploaded. Most of the time they're not, so there's nothing I can do about it. Fortunately, I'm friends with Aerial Flow, so I'll ask him if he still has the lyrics for this. The chances are slim though, since he suffered a hard drive failure a couple years after he composed this song. He lost all of his composition and project data in that incident.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate awesome work whatever the genre, and there are many more poppy Miku songs I love. I had been considering how one would go about producing a VOCALOID anime... and the only way I could think of successfully pulling it off is to involve a wide array of producers, and perhaps base each episode on a different song. That way there is no "bias" for the characters, though it might be difficult for fans to understand the concept of each episode being standalone.

There is something that needs to be added. A vocaloid is a kind of synthesiser - a kind of musical instrument, in a way. The instrument may itself be 'just a machine' (like a robot, or a piano, or a guitar), but behind the scenes there is a real, living, breathing musician _playing_ that instrument.

Now that you mention it, I don't really know either. I think what I was getting at is more upbeat songs where her jerky pitch shifts and comparatively expressionless voice make the gap between her synthesised voice and human vocals really noticeable. With this, I just think that her voice flows nicely and the electronicness of it blends with the music to create a perfect ethereal and somewhat alien sound. That's just my opinion though. ^^

This isn't manga. The girl is the illustration of Hatsune Miku, a voicebank for the VOCALOID singing synthesis software. Voice providers record samples of sounds in a particular language (I believe there are VOCALOID that support Japanese, English, Chinese, Korean, and Spanish now). Producers write music and lyrics into a piano-roll interface, and VOCALOID uses the recorded samples to generate a smooth singing voice with the lyrics. It's really amazing technology. Please think about a general impression. Hatsune Miku is voice synthesis software. Her song is often compared with the others. That it is easy to compare it with the existing singer. However, I feel a human impression from her..　 I think that her existence is creative.

Ok so she is a voice synchonizer, her name is Hatsune Miku and she is from ''Vocaloid'' there are many like her, they are robots (yet so real :'D) and she doesn't have her own anime or anything but shes REALLY famous. There are also UTAUloids and stuff like that, if you search for ''Vocaloid'' you'll get basic information. Hope I helped~ ♡
