I only stumbled on this track a few days ago and boy it had me in floods of tears as it's perfectly reflects me at this time, I lost my hubby a few months ago (26-04-2022 just 2 days after our 46th wedding anniversary) and if I had known they were to be my last days, months, years with him I would have hung onto those moments with him so much more, I would have held him in my arms as he slipped away and that hurts like hell that I didn't get that chance, I feel so numb and lost without him 😭I really don't know how much longer I can carry on on my own.

My grandpa died before I could meet him. My dad was 14 when it happened. He said bye to his dad at the airport and didn’t know that was last time he would see him. He was going to a store to buy honey, his favorite food and he got hit hit by a car and hit his head on a curb and was in a coma. My dad couldn’t see him because he was very far away. My dad picked me up from volleyball and I could see the pain in his eyes. He then told me the story of how he passed. He was 96. I knew he was crying and now I’m crying. He took me to Starbucks after and we laughed but I knew he was hurting. He lived a good life mashallah

I'm so sorry for your loss. 😭 I lost my father on 12-12-21. I haven't been the same since. My mom was in the hospital very sick. We didn't even think she would make it. My husband and I stayed with my dad. He was sick himself at that time as well. (My husband and I lived alone at this time. ) I would call my dad multiple times a day. Then he said "I'm so lonely here." I looked at my husband and said I don't care. I'm going to stay with dad til he gets better. Little did I know just a couple days later he would pass. I feel it's my fault for not making him go to the hospital. But he kept telling me that if he goes in, it will do him in. I said don't say that, dad!! 😭😭 he passed at home like he always wanted to go. In his sleep. He asked me to get him up to go potty around either 2am or after. The oxygen we had for him wasnt long enough, so he took the nasal cannula off., but put it back on after he laid down. We helped him back into bed. I put my hand on him and said daddy, I really should call an ambulance. He said oh no hunny. I'll see hiw I feel In the morning while tapping the top of my hand. I said ok dad, if that's what you want to do. I said I love you daddy. He said I love you too baby girl. I kept thinking while sleeping "what if he's passed away?!?" No Nikki, he's sleeping." My husband got up around 7ish walked past and went to the bathroom. He came back and thought he doesn't look right...went to shake him. And started saying "he's dead! He's dead! He's gone!! I flew up out of bed. And he was gone. 😭😭😭😭

Lost my Pa just before Christmas 2020. He caught Covid whilst in hospital & it proved too much for him. We couldn't see him, couldn't visit, never saw him again ... so bitter about the treatment he never received which would of saved him. Love you Pa, I'm still trying xxx

Since my post, I have read many of the comments saying how hard it was never to of said goodbye to lost loved ones. The hardest thing. This song puts a lump in the throat each time. The last time I spoke with my Pa was on the phone whilst he was in hospital. I was dropping some shopping off to my Mother, she handed me the phone, its your Dad, we chatted for a few moments then we both said 'I love you' , which I don't recall us saying before but we knew. I'll be eternally grateful for that. If I did get a chance to say goodbye I have no idea how I'd of coped but I'd take that pain every time.

I lost my uncle in 2009, I lost my grandma in 2010 , I lost my dad in 2017, I lost my cousin that ( I never met before) in 2018 , I lost my aunt in 2019, I lost my close friend Jamie in January 2021, I lost my grandpa in February 2021, I lost my great aunt in October 2021. I been trying to be okay but it's really complicated. I miss Jamie so much I still cant believe shes been gone for 1 year. 2021 was hell. I just lost my friend Jamal in March 2022 I couldn't beileve he died.

Finding this song and hearing the full song just reminds me of my dad. So many time waisted never had the time to say how much you mean to me and how much I do love you. Lost my 1st love to suicide 15yrs ago on Dec 22nd 2006 and I had to be the one to 1st call the medical examiner bc I didn’t believe he was gone & the pull myself together to call his father and tell em. It shattered me & ive never recovered. He’s on my mind everyday and the little sleep I do get is filled with night terrors of reliving that early morning phone call over & over endlessly. I wake up crying or screaming. Drenched in sweat & often times not knowing where I’m at. Everyone abandoned me after that. I have no one left in my life, all my things are gone and In 2 days I’ll be living on the street. Tho I don’t believe it’ll be for very long. And Im oddly comfortable bc I know some kind of peace & rest is on the way. I send much light, love and most of all peace to all who’ve suffered loss. I pray you all fair better than me.

My brother was murdered April 2022, my mum called me just after 1AM, i can still hear he cries trying to tell me and that keeps me up at night. I struggle to sleep too and when ever i think of my brother i hear that cried in my head. It drives me crazy. Praying for you to find peace.
