The storyline in this show doesn't require it. Because if they do that then this scene will have a different meaning. It seems like the guy's character doesn't like her. They need to show the viewers what the emotion of this scene is like. Like what the man feels with that kiss - that kiss is not enticing and it's awkward. In the Blank Series, they need to project the romance to the viewers and they made it intimate because the show requires to induce that emotion. So you will feel the love between the characters by the way they move like they love each other.
