As a Finn, this is something I've never experienced before: people all over the world singing in my native language. It's just so amazing. 🤩 There are only a few million native speakers of Finnish and the general attitude of the speakers has been that nobody wants to hear Finnish, let alone sing in it, it's too difficult. But music unites! ❤ Icelandic is even smaller, maybe I will learn to sing something in Icelandic! We should be proud of our languages. And believe in the power of music. Käärijä has taught us that.

First time I heard this song, I was, wtf is this sh*t. But after some time I learned to kinda like it. He has a very positive aura around him. It's weird to see people outside Finland enjoying this song. And a lot of covers have been made, in Finnish(!) by people not speaking finnish. This is both insane and cool. It's hard to believe that Käärijä has made such an impact on people.

This is what I mean when I say that esc is a song contest and not a singing competition. This song just keeps living it's own life, it unites people and makes people go crazy even if it's not Käärijä himself performing it.

As a Finn I have to say good work for the singer. Naturally the accent is heavy and so the pronounciation could be better but that is a minor minus. Bigger minus is that 0:27-0:30 the lyrics are just gibberish. But that is the only point where he failed.
