Rapha's mettle never fails to impress me. The focus during game 1 and the comeback in game 3. You can't play at that level with a weak mind.

Rapha has an insane amount of experience and understanding of the duel game and it shows. For instance despite Cha1n getting a somewhat comfortable lead early on Awoken, Rapha never really looked uncomfortable. He stills keep track of item timings and just takes the fight he needs to get back control eventually, whereas Cha1n seemed like he lost heavy armour spawn timing after a few big fights.

If you consider the amount of brain function required just to physically walk (as shown by people with neurodegenerative diseases), it makes you really appreciate the unreal finesse and speed required with both hands and the visual system. AlphaZero for Quake is going to be really harsh.

@@ocamlmail Predicition rockets are always guesses to a degree but this wasn't just random spam. Rapha knew Cha1n was going down to shotgun and anticipated he would come looking for an angle at blood pool. Also pretty hard to flick that almost vertical rocket exactly on the doorway mid-jump. Just beautiful quake right there

@@wiroo86 реально машина только рафа. Но чейн, снимаю шляпу, развалил всех остальных. Проблемы возникали с сайфером, но сайфер странный. Если сайфера торкнет, он и рафу нагнет

Cha1n's deffo come a long way, but still can't beat the GOAT even when he's using the most squishy champ. Nice how he gives props to his fellow competitors, unlike Cha1n who was full of himself when he beat DaHang. Shane's a true sportsman, Cha1n's still an arrogant child and could learn a lot from Rapha, and not just about Quake. gg's Rapha take it all the way, all gas no brake :D

I just don't think anybody can touch Rapha, especially in finals. His focus and mental toughness combined with all that experience is too much. Even if you out-skill him (which is a big ask) he never collapses and just wears you down eventually.

Cypher has a winning record against him in QC, as far as I gather. Rapha has only ever beaten k1llsen and Cypher when they were off. Only thing that makes Rapha win tournaments is his consistency - when others are off, he is the one who jumps in and scoops up. Well, that and the fact that he always wins his continent in QPL because he's the only Top 5 player in NA, coupled with preferential treatment by QPL who will have him face no EU competition until the WB final. If he only has to beat two EU players to win a tournament, like last Season's final, of course he will often come out as a winner.

@@stoneeh I wouldn't say Rapha only beats K1llsen when K1llsen is off. It's more like when K1llsen is in really good form(as in hitting almost all rails) his raw damage output can overcome Rapha's game. I'm basing my comments on season 1 stage 3 finals, where Rapha first beats K1llsen somewhat convincingly in the winner's bracket semi than falls to K1llsen in loser's bracket finals in the same day. Obviously these are all really good players who can win games off each other if even one of the competition is bit off. Sometimes all it takes is one of them being more in form than the other when they play. They are all really good players and as a low elo spectator I don't think my analysis would be too fair or accurate. That said I do want to throw in my own take of how I see them match up against each other: Based on what I've seen from these players in the QPL, in terms of raw technical skills (aim, movement, etc) I think Cypher or K1llsen is still somewhat stronger than Rapha. Rapha's aim is solid and mostly consistent but I would put K1llsen's rails a little higher than both Cypher and Rapha. I'd also put Cypher's LG higher than K1llsen or Rapha. Map control and decision making is a bit of a toss up between Cypher and Rapha, where as K1llsen is a little weaker than the others on that aspect. Both Cypher and Rapha have great item timing and decision making, but I think Cypher is more prone to taking risks.

Cypher and K1llsen definitely can, as they have proven in the past. I also think Cooller can challenge Rapha but so far Cooller hasn't really been in form. He has been playing much better as of the last week or 2 so hopefully he'll be in form for the finals. Most of the EU players look really good, but so far Rapha hasn't met much of them in the finals except for Vengeur and Raisy, and we all know how well Raisy matches up against Rapha.
