I think the people that say personal preference is the key are right. I feel a lot more comfortable with accel on because of its smooth tracking and I have a lot more space to move my mouse on.

What sensitivity do you use? If you turn 360 at 50cm or less, then this mouse should be fine for you. At sensitivities lower than that, you might experience skipping. The sensor is really nice in my opinion, tho I don't know how good it is for very high sensitivity users. The overclock net forum is a very good place for mouse information.

This is how i played for many years and it was great for me! @db mew it good to see somebody pro accel for once, i've been having loads of problems ever since moving away from windows XP, haven't been able to replicate the acceleration, it's pushed me to using higher sensitivies but then i don't feel like i get the fine control on situations where you don't need to turn and it's affected my aim and playstyle massively not having that accel to dig me out, the idea was to increase steady aim by having an ultra low sens where a 180 spin would not be possible without the acceleration and enjoy the best of both worlds @db mew have you struggled to keep this accel consistent across OS and game editions?

@SakariMover Жыл бұрын
Accel is good, but it takes effort to remain consistent. Most important thing is to have the sensitivity cap in the acceleration so that your flicks are always the same sensitivity as long as you flick past a certain speed. I haven't used accel in years now, because I no longer play Quake. The thing in my arm is a "gaming sleeve" I made myself. It's a smooth cloth, similar to silk, which just slides really well against my mousepad.
@Simone_jw Жыл бұрын
@@SakariMover Thank you. You don't do Quake anymore. ^^ Is it correct that the sensitivity cap console command is /cl_mouseSensCap ?? I don't think it's necessary, but can you tell me how high it gets when I don't have a cap on it?
@SakariMover Жыл бұрын
@@Simone_jw I haven't used the acceleration in the Quake engine, I only used the Povohat acceleration driver. But in that, the acceleration scales the sensitivity higher as long as you move the mouse faster. That's why the cap is useful, so that you can just find a flick speed that you will usually go over and set the cap so that every flick is with the same sensitivity, that way your flicks will be much more consistent than without a cap.
@Simone_jw Жыл бұрын
@@SakariMover Thank you. I have an additional inquiry. 1. When you also used acceleration, did you set up the cap for stable flick shots? 1. Why use Povohat' acceleration, instead of the acceleration of the Quake engine, to apply the same to other games? 2. Please introduce Povohat. (windows 10~) 3. You used acceleration, and I'm curious about the mouse dpi, sensori, and acceleration sensitivity that you used in Quake.
@SakariMover Жыл бұрын
@@Simone_jw 1. Yes, I used a sensitivity cap for flick shots. It makes them much better. 2. I used Povohat's accel driver because I mainly used accel in Battlefield 3, but wanted to use it in other games with the same settings. 3. I don't remember my settings completely, but I used Logitech G100S and the Ninox Aurora mouse, usually 400-800 DPI. Acceleration and sensitivity settings usually so that base sensitivity was very low, something like 60-100 cm / 360° and then accel made it to about 25-40 cm / 360°.

@amit-jv7tj3 жыл бұрын
@@SakariMover oh you use an exp curve? hmm maybe that is good for your purpose. @SakariMover3 жыл бұрын
@@amit-jv7tj i did use linear as well. 2 is linear. For me the exponential curve served as a gradual accel offset. At low mouse movement speeds the accel was low and as i moved the mouse faster the accel would ramp up faster. But linear is good as well. High linear is a bit rough tho i feel.

@powderhungry66117 жыл бұрын
A Non there is something called offset, and it makes it so accel only kicks in after a certain amount of mouse speed. Typically, a person uses low sens but their accel offset and power is setup so they don't have to move their arm like that. The offset would allow the person to move the mouse slow so they can aim well, and then do little flicks to make fast twitch motion or be able to orientate easier. This looks terrible and exhausting. This isn't good use of accel, this is very strange. To be quite brutally honest, it looks more like he is using almost no accel and using super low sensitivity. Rapha's cfg has accel settings the exact way I described it, and it is very easy to go from aiming well to strafe jumping and doing fast turns. Plus, I think he has calibrated it so you get the most out of strafe jumps.

The entire point of the video was to showcase an extreme case of low sensi + accel scenario. And that's exactly what the video does. I demonstrate the accel in the beginning. First I move the mouse quickly across approximately 50% of the mousepad turning 180 degrees and then slowly across the whole pad turning barely 90 degrees. Yes, there is accel, no, it's not a lot. But because the base sensitivity is super low it makes it seem extreme. I didn't actually play with this sort of settings in any real way.
