I'm sure it will be extra difficult given that the keystone cops there allowed the Daybell family to move items in & out of the house & property even after the discovery of the children's bodies. And just stupidly believed that Tammy, the healthy middle aged wife of a death cult leader died of natural causes. I don't think that'll work, he has a long and documented history of manipulating people. My worry is that a lot of this will slide because the Mormon Church's basic doctrine is so wacky and their adherents so brainwashed that what seems crazy to an outsider seems perfectly reasonable to them. And they are surrounded by other church members, everyone from the police to the lawyers to the judges to the jury when it gets picked. How much crazy will slide, because to them, what Chad preached wasn't that insane? Chad's suit was probably his lawyer's stupid idea. (I say stupid because they weren't even in a courtroom. Chad literally put on a suit just to walk down the hall from his cell and sit in an empty room for 10 minutes 🙄). Lori's lawyer probably doesn't get paid enough to think about this kind of stuff, though (he's a personal injury and family law attorney).

It is sad they do not make every single incident of contact, speaking, denial, withholding information as a separate individual felony charge. As well as mandate they are filed as to be ran consecutively. They both knew all along those kids had been in the back yard all that time..from day one . That should mean every day they refused to reveal it should be another charge of withholding that information. Maybe with everything they would see how serious this is and what they potentially face as a maximum in consecutive charges sentenced upon for each kid , along with special circumstances of enhancements added. Then they can add the others yet coming.
