Chad Daybell is set to go on trial in March for his alleged involvement in the deaths of his first wife and his second wife's two children. Lori Vallow Daybell was convicted of all three murders and is now serving a life sentence. Several motions were discussed during Chad Daybell's hearing, including changing the venue and removing the death penalty. Vicki Hoban, the aunt of Chad's first wife Tammy Daybell, joins "Banfield" exclusively for the first time since the hearing.

That oldest daughter said if she wasnt his daughter she would agree with "everybody else" but since she knows her dad could never murder anybody, she doesn't believe it. Last time I saw an interview with the Daybell.kids they were still insisting their mother died of natural causes and that Lori and Alex killed JJ and Tylee and framed Chad. But I believe that interview was before Lori's trial.

I never hated my father, who abused my mother beyond belief. She had to escaped him because he said he was going out and when he gets back, he was going to kill her. Well, she was pregnant and left with other 5 of us. My mother is my hero, we never see our father again. I understand that you love your father, you can’t turn that off. But not realize it that he is guilty as hell, that is being so badly wired in the head. I feel sorry, because one of them did not know what exhumation was, what? You are an adult and you do not know that? So, this specific religion makes you grow up dumb, away from the world and you can even think critically. God forbid you think for yourself. Garth, (spelling) is the one who saw his mother dead, he knows what happened but he will not admit it to himself. It is too painful. Their rather live in the la la land. I grew up as Christian, and I am a Christian, but I don’t believe in the institutions. They are so wealthy, but the poor go around giving them money, that was suppose to feed the poor, the widows, and the house of god. Instead, they are flying around in jets and having millions of dollars houses. It is ridiculous, period. Stay away from any of these kind of place. I met Chad years ago. He was at an event for Julie Rowe. Julie was pushing the whole everyone would be fleeing to the mountains in no time with the end of times. My husband asked Chad if he really believed everyone would be doing that, and Chad shook his head no and kind of rolled his eyes. He was all about making money off looney people and never really fully believed their crap. I honestly believe Chad was just a horny middle aged man who was getting attention from some woman he deemed "hot." Ughh, he ruined his whole life and the lives of his loved ones to "follow the storm," after a deranged woman who took the lives of her own children. Sick.

@kateashby3066 This is my opinion and I know I am not alone in my thoughts about this: Because they are Tammy’s parents. Their daughter was murdered. I think the court should have tried to find a way to allow them to watch her killer(s) come to justice. If there was any possible way for them to be given a link to watch, it should have been granted. They were not in the physical health to make the journey to be there or sit through the trial in person. Tammy’s mother suffered greatly. She has now passed. If you raise a child in the filth of cult-lies and delusions, it's rare those kids grow to be rational unbias truth-seekers. Some of those kids were in the house the morning Tammy died and one of the sons was with Chad and was questioned by police. The Daybell kids were also reported to be laughing and eating snacks with Lori at the post-funeral get together. There is more here than the family is saying. That is the only normal thing about the kids. Yes they’re totally brainwashed, but a guest at the funeral said the two oldest ones that testified for their dad also bawled their eyes out. If Chad has “pierced the veil” twice and knows what heaven is like (according to his books) and if he was comfortable sending his WIFE and two little kids to the great beyond, then why should the death penalty bother him at all? He said he’s a god in the next life. Shouldn’t he be excited to see the wife he swore to be sealed to for all eternity? The death penalty is what’s called *a deterrent* . That means when other people think about murdering for greed, or killing little kids, or killing more than one person, they ought to know that they might not just get rewarded with free room, board, and healthcare for the rest of their lives.

I do not agree with this or any of the Mormon teachings which do not align with God’s Word. My prayer & hope is for Mormons everywhere to at least seek God & study His Word. If your church or your faith, which are not synonymous, by the way, are against this, that speaks for itself.

I have no compassion for Chad's children. Their dad chased a piece of tail and conpsired to murder their mother. Shame on them for not calling him out. When our mother cheated on my father with some two-bit drug dealing bum, and left him penniless and emotionally broken, we kids stood by him and said good riddance to our narcissistic mother. Does that mean we didn't love her? Of course not, but we practiced tough love and kicked her to the curb. Did she care?? I doubt it. She bounced around being a kept women and deliverd her plastic merry christmas's and happy birthdays and all that bullshit, while she sexuallly trashed herself tormenting our father for the remainder of his days, as he always stayed loyal. So, no, who cares about Chad's kids if that's how they choose to behave.

Thank you. I think it's typical in our society to have so much compassion for the perpetrator of horrific acts while forgetting thier victims, especially when it comes to the opposite sex family members of the parent who was most despicable. I have a feeling Chad's sons will eventually come around, but as for their daughters, who knows? I hope all they come around. The best thing they can do for thier dad is inform him he needs to face the consequences. My mother is ill; but that doesn't excuse her for treating a saint of a man like my father as her plaything, while he always worked 2 jobs, coached all our sports and cub scouts and everything - and his reward? An unfaithful wife a gazillion times over. Chad, too, wanted a hot fling - and he got it - and threw his life away. Good riddance.@@EmmaDee

I think Lori exploited him more then he exploited her. She used sex to exploit him and no matter what he said she was in control of her children not him. Lori should have gotten the death penalty not him. Chad does have adult children, Lori killed hers. Well she does have one adult child but I still think she was the actual murderer and instigator with the murders.

They both manipulated each other, just in different ways. He told her they had been married in another life, he made it seem like she would not be protected without him, he is the one who decided her family was dark.

Yes. I’m literally sitting in my pyjamas in England watching this, because it’s interesting. Interesting to the public is not synonymous with ‘in the public interest’ as some people seem to think. This is just reality TV for me, which is so wrong. But it’s on KZbin for all to see so fuck it, I’ll watch it lol

You ever been on live TV or on TV at all? Surely she is nervous and wants to chose her words wisely as to not alienate Chad's delusional adult children. Vicky is a very sweet lady who has been thru hell. Have a little grace and try to put yourself in other's shoes instead of a not picker
