Chad, what you’ve done here is something very special and I can’t thank you enough for your hard work and diligence in seeing this project through. I am not a collector but I am a music and vinyl lover. I don’t own multiple copies or original pressings or rarities. In fact I make an effort to only buy new pressings. Not being able to buy Steely Dan’s first 7 albums in their catalog on new vinyl, except Aja and Gaucho, has made my heart hurt. I just preordered all 7 and look forward to listening to them over the next year. Steely Dan are an important enough band to me that I had to do this! Thank you Chad. You now have a new lifelong customer!

I love these streams. Chad is so upfront and transparent. As much I love the stories , I can no doubt say I will be getting these uhqrs. Simply because Chad, Bernie and analog productions are doing the work. They have done nothing but build trust and give knockout releases. It’s an instant sale for me. This is the best company in the business hands down. Thank you Michael for all your videos . So excited

I started collecting records after getting a decent turntable during covid, between my own recording of my own original music. Covid closed the music venues where my buddies and I performed in a dynamic trio of songwriters. I am not rich, nor a business owner, and it would be nice to make more than .003 cents a stream on spotify for my own music. I spend money on records from Music Direct, based on the recommendations of this channel, and especially from Michael 45. I choose to spend the extra money I have on records. Charge what they are worth. I don't blame you.

Explosive stuff coming out from AP... and I want it all! Chad you ever listen to funk rock in the 70s? Any chance you liked Funkadelic Maggot Brain? I know you like Hendrix, so Eddie Hazel has to at the very least get your attention! If the master tapes still exist, a remaster with the UHQR treatment could be a real treat for vinyl music fans.
@acousticsoundsks2 жыл бұрын
I know some people love this style of music, but I will not be doing any UHQRs of this. We need to leave room for other reissue labels that specialize in these areas, that know and respect this music and that can do it justice. They can get to be well-known to people that like this sort of music.

I might be missing something here, but it seems to me that it would probably be easier to get the whole UHQR Steely Dan series if they weren't all up for sale at the same time. It would be preferable if you couldn't place an order on a title until maybe two months before release. That way, everyone would have a shot. The way things stand, those with the deepest pockets who can order (and pay for) everything at once will benefit most. I'll hang in and wait for the regular non-UHQR releases a year or so from now...

Hi Chad, As you like classical music, I wonder if you like Anonymous 4? They are from the 90s, and they sang ancient music. They have never been released on vinyl only cd. I have a question and I am not trying to be rude; I really am just curious. "Who is this Michael 45 guy?" Yes I know he has a popular KZbin channel and that's all well and good, but other than that, who is this guy? Ken Micallef is a writer for a top-tier audiophile magazine; same goes for Fremer; Guttenberg was a long time publisher/reviwer and sold hifi gear for years; Herb Reicher is also a respected writer and reviewer of hifi. Hell, Mike Esposito may just be a record store owner, but he runs a great shop, has a killer LP collection, and has years of experience buying and selling vinyl. So other than being (what appears to be) just some rich German guy, who is he and who let him into the club? 😉 Not trying to be snarky (more or less), but I am curious. 👽✌️

We met Michael through his KZbin channel. He's a passionate record collector and audiophile that is learning like the rest of us as he goes. We all gotta get a start and a chance somewhere - I think he's making the most out of his chance.
