This whole quartet is so good. The drummer is killin it, the fluid inside outside of the piano player, the bass player never wavers from keeping the swing alive and then Chad, playing it like we all think we can but really can't when you push record.

That was epic! I love everything about this band. Saxophone tone was very listenable and of course Chad's a monster. I always admire drummers who can play long meter really well and swing really hard. they are usually one or the other. It's rare that someone can do both.

really love your sound here chad, think you struck a really good balance on this session whether it was your reed, mic, eq, air temperature, feng shui, position of Jupiter, etc..... definitely has some edge to it but its not overly bright or harsh and the core is strong. can't wait to check out the rest of the record

ya, Mr Lefkowitz always has a great sound ...I would venture to suggest the difference you hear could be that Coles Ribbon Mic he's using, coupled with a really engineer that's recording the session.
