What are the hoses attached to the back of your grinder platen for? Is there coolant running through them?

Since I saw this before Liam could reply... That's an aluminum chiller plate with channels milled in to circulate cold water. I got mine from a talented machinist who goes by the handle "Nathan the Machinist" on BladeForums. They are sweet. Nathan sells a bunch of other really nice swag too. Clyde
