It's just a easier way to get out of the ufc contract. Gsp can't get out of his sense he was a champion when he retired. They have a champion clause that automatically renews the contract. That's why Frances is so pissed off. They won't let him box.

If you retire at the end of your contract the UFC can’t hold you anymore. If you retire with more fights on your contract they can hold your contract and stop you from fighting. Being champion or saying you’re retired changes nothing

I have always ended my bag workouts with zero on my hands wrist. My wrists never fold. Number one thing I’ll see when people come over and hit the bag with no gloves is their wrist give out. It’s ugly. I warn them. So practice with no protection as much as possible. Your overall punching will get stronger

If your wrist buckles you have wrong thumb placement. Try thumb untucked in your fingers and your wrist will strengthen

One of the reasonings behind the shorter rounds is because they think it will push the pace and give them something of a advantage in the entertainment quality. Not saying it will work but it was one of the things Bobby Gunn suggested. He was like the GodFather of BKB in the states
