I’m 22 now 4 years sober. I listened to this whilst being heavily mentally ill, addicted to heroin and 2 months away from living on the streets (which inevitably happened). But I remember playing this song on repeat for hours, just absolutely crying balling my eyes out over the issues that then seemed existential to me but I now see as completely manageable. I’d like to think this song helped me in a way, to let some of that emotion out when I had no one to turn to.

I had also lost this song. Then I woke up in the middle of the night and that line was in my head, but by morning I couldn't remember what it was. I knew it was a really trippy video, so I started Googling "trippy animated music videos". You'd think this video would be a perfect match for that, but it's strangely difficult to find. Anyway, I eventually found some horrible site that barely loaded, but had the green woman as a thumbnail, and after waiting 30 seconds for the javascript to finish loading I found the title of the song. I am glad to be reunited with it, and I'm really not sure what it means that I wake up in the night with "I'll find you and I'll kill you" stuck in my head, but here I am. If you're listening giant green woman, please don't chest-flame me.

Emanuel Burwick I agree with you 100%. I think that what happened with music is that everybody decided they weren't prepared for certain types of songs, and fell to some other category of music that isn't as good. While I didn't hear this song until just recently, I would say that it has more creativity, thematic style, and rhythmic patterns than most of the popular songs today. I wouldn't say that there's necessarily less good music, but good music such as this doesn't get the attention it deserves. Now, Jack White is pretty much only recognised for seven nation army, and Wilco hasn't blown up as much as other random songs that don't have a point.

I loved this song as a little kid because it used to make me tear up without me understanding why yet. It was such a pain yknow. Now as an adult this hurts a million times more but is also so comforting. Growing up and realizing you were abused so severely and that none of it was normal and you will never see justice for the crimes committed against you.. it keeps me up at night. I’m trying my best. I used to listen to this song working overnight in the art studio in college, completely sleep deprived and lost. I hadn’t heard it in over a decade, not because I dislike it but because sometimes music has that funny way of transporting you back to the most difficult times of your life. Today Spotify recommended Chad’s music to me. I knew that familiar name! God I must have watched this video seventy times back then. Maybe more. It’s wonderful to see it now with those years behind me.

this is a beautiful story of revenge. its about karma, death, and fear. This song gives me goosebumps every time i hear it. Such great animation, such great character development, and its so novel. Did you see the part were their hearts set a pulse through out space and time? and how they were so scared they tugged on their eyes? i find something new everytime i watch it. 9 out of 10. A plus. honestly its hard to find a greater more symbolic meaning behind this badass fairytale but if I had to I would say it's reminiscent of the old Rape Revenge movie trope, where a woman is sexually assaulted and the movie follows the attsck and ends with her revenge, usually being murdering her rapist(s). Eating flesh or someone has been used as a symbol for rape/domination a long time. I'm interested in hearing anyone elses theories!!
