I'm also going through the same phase, like I analyze people's faces everywhere and literally establish a hierarchy of looks in my college and gave myself a certain looks percentile in here. I also find myself watching psl god rankings and edits although i barely talk anything about blackpill anywhere including forums or comments. So yes it is dangerous, but is it really one of the best theories out there? I don't think so, it's just useful as in it helps you figure out what your flaw is and tells you how to fix it, it doesn't even provide a reliable advise whether to get surgery or not in many cases. what I haven't agreed with about blackpill is the specific importance of each facial feature, for example I have an overbite which results in recessed mandible. but how recessed it is I don't know, I ask ai it says slightly recessed sometimes moderately recessed and people on blackpill forum said moderately and they also said it looks very bad probably because of dorsal hump. I've considered getting genioplasty after I get a high enough paying job though I'm still unsure because I'm unaware of the degree of recession. Wheat waffles said mandible holds 4/5 importance and can decrease rating by up to 2 points but didn't mention that the ideal mandible projection it isn't to be interpreted as a boolean value (either -0 points or -2), for that requires like a normal distribution for each feature (like the mean be 0 mm recession, depending on the standard deviation the recession translates to negative points), intuitively estimating for each feature can be unsatisfying and there exists no universally true distribution for this. Qoves said according to a study, 77 degree SNB angle was considered ideal however slightly recessed was considered only marginally less attractive and said that surgery is only recommended if the deviation is greater than 3 degrees. but then there doesn't exist a way to estimate SNB angle without xray or perhaps I just don't have enough knowledge (I tried asking several prompts to ai and search but all seemed unreasonable), I believe my mandible recession is about the same degree as timothee chalamet's and roadto1percent called it a slight recession though it's unknown how much he deducted for it. the subjectivity of perception of its severity as well as subjectivity of translation of severity to points decrease also matter. the concept of facial harmony also can't be formulated like bone structure, perhaps the points deducted for timothee chalamet's mandile recession was less because it's more acceptable for a prettyboy appearance than a masculine one like in my case and also the degree of exacerbation caused by the dorsal hump is unknown. Diving deeper I'm also skeptical of the point after which surgery is required, because I cannot go by that study alone as if it's the gospel, it isn't an accurate enough indicator of universal perception. Within the blackpill community also there exist conflicts, for example wheat waffles said scleral show holds an importance level of 3/5 whereas nero angelo believes it's 5/5. I assume this is due to the subjective interpretation of research surveys or could be very well an arbitrary personal opinion. There's also subjectivity in the ratings you get from different blackpillers, nero angelo might give you a higher rating whereas faceiq might give lower. Ironic because they say looks is objective, perhaps it's not objective enough to be considered objective then. in my opinion all that is objective is who is below average looking, who is above average, who is average, who is ugly and who is good looking. so unless you're certain that you're in top 1% of male looks or so you can't be certain what your percentile range is or what your rating is (ignoring 5 and sub5 here). you also can't take average of different blackpillers rating as your real rating because again it's based on studies and not a single one is accurate enough to be considered objective. there are also constraints of the picture you took and the attractiveness standard in your country/region, also they say in india looks don't matter as much as money does. not knowing your real rating can cause you to research a whole lot and still end up with no real answer.
