That window when the NES, SNES, and Game Boy were all for sale together was actually a bit longer than you may remember. I remember the NES 2, SNES, Game Boy, and Virtual Boy all on display in my local Toys R Us in 1995. I went from Kirby's Dream Land 2 on the GB on a stand, to Wario's Woods on the NES display, over to some random SNES demos, to playing Red Alarm for over an hour, ending with my first migraine.
