as motivational as these words are intended to me, they don't really apply to people who have problems with rejection. Motivational speeches typically tend to ignore those people. Perhaps not intentionally, but it occurs all the time, with the response being something equally as dismissive, worded eloquently but basically just says "get over it."

No he wasn’t a man because he had humility he was an amazing and inspiring human being. To be a man in the 21st century? As a man myself I can tell you that being a man is about 100% being yourself. The reason I’m saying this to you is because you are a woman and most men won’t say this to you but what you said really makes other men feel ashamed, but I’m not coming at you with bitterness I’m coming to let you know so next time you can think before you write just anything down.

@diamond unicorn...Good statement, yet would add he didn't want fake empathy from others and choose not to disclose an illness. We won't truly know his rationale, until meeting him for ourselves to ask. Rest In Strength. In my opinion as a FBA man, I have overcome many obstacles in short, yet know many more are still ahead and will not run, go around, appease others about it. I have just one path go over it by any means necessary. Men of every culture are a kaleidoscope of pieces that make the whole; however, this is my personal core as FBA (Foundational Black American): HONOR, INTEGRITY, PRESERVERANCE, COMMITMENT. RESPECT, PROTECTOR & ON CODE. #B1

The color of his skin does matter because we do live in a world where people who have the same skin color as him are seen by some as less than. @@ThisOldMan44 You obviously got *nothing* significant from this presentation and just combed through to find something you could project your hostility upon. Howard is a Historically Black College (HBCU) and his speech was *all* about uplifting the 'black' youth he was addressing; attempting to lead them away from stereotypes and falling into feeling like a victim. You are putting words in Queen F's comment. There is *nowhere* in that comment indicating 'black' people as being the *sole* cultural group with "excellence, dignity and gifts". Unfortunately, it is not recognized *enough* since American society has been programmed to believe the opposite. It simply was about appreciating Mr. Boswick's contributions to that aspect. Yet what you have served to do is *highlight* the necessity for Queen F to make that distinction; since you are so insulted by the mere mention of such. It is always amusing to watch people arrogantly profess their ignorance: *Arrogance + Ignorance = Savagery* ________________________________________________________

What made this man great, was that he lifted others without worrying if he made himself smaller. He isn’t dead. Because he lives in all those who ever saw him. In everyone who ever heard him. The world has lost one of the greats. Because he who wants to be the greatest must make himself the smallest of all. People like this man are the reason I still have hope for humanity.

I'm an older white woman nearing my 60th birthday this year... I've heard many many inspiring speeches made by very inspirational men in my lifetime. But somehow his speech meant more to me than the others. Not because God called him back home but because his words meant something deeply profound in my life as well as his own. What he shared here was a gift...a gift of encouragement and wisdom beyond his 43 years on earth. I admire those who can climb the hill to rise above adversity... to overcome the obstacles others layout to ensnare you, to hinder you from achieving your goals in life... but more importantly those we set for ourselves which is something I've done for most of my life. I could never see that light... Chadwich Boseman just lit the flame for me...He was an intelligent young man that took his life to places and heights most of us may never go all because he believed he could... he knew he could. His is the first speech I truly listened to... I didn't just hear his words, I listened to him. I'm very sad that he's gone home again. But he's left behind a part of himself that contains his spirit and love for life. God Bless him and may he Rest in eternal Peace in God's Kingdom.

I don't view it as a minus that I'm 60...I view it as a plus. It just means I have had 60 years on this blessed earth to continue to learn as much about my journey as possible. I have overcome odds that would have taken stronger men and women out of this amazing world. Sickness, deaths of loved ones, poverty, you name it, God has tested me on it and yet I'm still here to witness such greatness as Chadwick Boseman and many others like him...for that, I am eternally grateful.I only pray I can give back a fraction of what I've learned in 60 years as that young man gave in 43. @Steel Heart The Bible says the dead are asleep until resurrection day. The dead in Christ will rise first to meet Him in the air, along with the righteous who are living. That is the first resurrection. 1 Thessalonians 4: 16-17. They will reign with Christ for a thousand years and will help to judge the whole world. The second resurrection is for the unrighteous dead and living. Revelations 20: 1-15. Even Jesus himself said He would raise the righteous up on the last day. John 6:40; 44.

I have two friends both colon cancer survivers and black under 40 and also both very special human beings ( as we all are) when I heard of chadwicks death from something so close to home it really shook me. It should not shock it’s extremely prevalent among black YOUNG males but rarely discussed . Chadwick saw it as personal issue which was his choice and right . Their was something about him you did not need to be black to feel most know him from black panther but he made other epics ( ie a message from the king ) where he through his talent portrayed a really important message consistently . That message well that’s yours to find . A great loss but a spirit like his does not just fade into the abiss . Awards trophies get dusty his memory will be fresh forever .

If you are a beginner to meditation, this CD will walk you through all the steps of relaxing and breathing as well as sending out the positive thoughts of love and kindness that will be returned to you. We have several CD's, but this one is a favorite that we choose most often.

That was honestly one of the best speeches I have ever heard. The kind that resonates, from a person that’s not trying produces “a good speech”, but a naturally well spoken person who has conviction in what they say.

They say you don’t appreciate someone until they are gone. I am here to tell you THIS MAN is the absolute exception. I do not have to even know him personally to know how much value he brought to me through his art, through his words, and his actions. Long live our King!

I've watched this video twice: once about six months ago and then again this evening. The first time I watched it, I heard it and enjoyed it, but not deeply. This second time, it is literally blowing my socks off. What an awesome speech! I guess sometimes we have to really have our channels ready and open to truly listen.

Our hearts are heavy knowing this beautiful young man has left this physical journey. His spirit and energy is free as it was BEFORE. Chadwick Boseman is now in our hearts and minds and left a legacy off performances that will live on. Wakanda Forever ❤ The King is at peace.

I don’t care how cliché the statement is; this young man died WAY TOO YOUNG. He had SO MUCH to offer humanity. We will miss him in more ways than we are cognizant of. Screw “he was a credit to his race”...he was a credit TO HIS SPECIES. He made every one of us look better.
