I do my incline treadmill on speed 3 incline level 3 to 5 typically and I do it for 30 minutes 3-5 times a week and it’s about 1 mile or a little above a mile at a brisk walk. I think I could run 3 miles but that’s no little run that’s a further than people realize. Now you’re making me want to try it just to see how far I can do. That is pretty far considering my average i think is around 1 to 1.3 miles walking briskly on incline sometimes I even only do 2.5 speed for 30min when I’m not feeling up to it or did it multiple days in a row and I am 5ft8 180 pounds jacked and Lean. I’m thinking about applying for bkfc I’m 34 years old with lunch box hands I think I would be a real threat to some of these dudes I got them German Austrian oak genetics 🧬

It's very likely that TJ runs to get the feeling of the "Runners High". I'm not a big fan of running and I have personally only felt what might be considered a "Runners High" one single time in my whole life. My stepfather was a big fan of running and jogging, he always talked about the great feeling of the "Runners High" and pushed himself past his perceived limit over and of again in order to achieve it. Maybe TJ is missing the excitement and thrill of fighting and running is a way to feel that same High? Not sure, but I believe TJ ran 3 miles if he says he ran 3 miles.

I did more when I last was active at the gym. I did like 3-5 miles in 10 back then, and I was never an active athlete. In fact I was overweight back then(as in under 6ft and solidly a heavyweight), which resulted in injuries. Still overweight now, and my joints are busted because I go too hard when I go. For a pro I cant help but feel that even four to five should be nothing. From the couch I did ten minute sprints, as a smoker, after about two months of cardio training... while still smoking. And yes, it did result on busted joints... but the cardio was there, and I was still smoking half a pack a day back then.

Most people focus on speed and technique, but striking power comes from sequencing the kinetic chain correctly. Izzy is an elite striker, but even small inefficiencies in full-body coordination can make a huge difference in power and defensive reactions. Bruce Lee studied this long before modern sports science. Do you think fighters are optimizing their movement as much as they could?
