Real story. I watched Chael as a freshman in high school wrestle my nemesis. Chael did something awesome when the guy had a single leg on him - he waited for the guy to drop down and move in for a double and Chael tossed him to his back. a few months later in the state finals the same guy had a single on me and I remembered Chaels throw. Worked like a charm. Not sure I ever got to thank Chael for that. Thank you Mr. Sonnen I’m editing this to stop all the claims I’m lying. I won the 1991 and 1992 Oregon state titles in Oregon. I wrestled the same guy 1990, 1991 and 1992 in the state finals. I wrestled for Phoenix high school and he wrestled for McLoughlin high school. I wrote this comment as a cool random Chael story not to get upvotes or karma. I’m old, this was all a long time ago and it’s awesome to see someone I knew then still relevant in MMA and I thought people might like the story. That’s it.

I hope Nate wins but I think this might look a bit like Nate vs. Rory back in the day.

It was 3 rounds and Nate was doing decent
@Synthetic-Rabbit2 жыл бұрын
@@aaryanpadiyar6393 I'm not sure if I'd agree with "decent" although I don't remember him taking a huge amount of damage. Rory was a lot bigger and I think most people just remember those three big slams in the third I think but Nate lost pretty handily IMO. That was a long time ago, though. I just think Hamzat is too big, he looks bigger than some LHW's to me lmao.
@ryanscarborough67032 жыл бұрын
@@aaryanpadiyar6393 I agree. Everyone remembers the slams in the 3rd round but the first 2 rounds where pretty competitive. I think Rory was a lot bigger too but I could be wrong. Saw Nate at a Metallica concert in 2009 and was suprises how big he is for fighting at 155.

I'm curious as to why All the UFC "hype machine" D.C, Uncle Chael, Dana are all telling us how the Diaz fight isn't a screw job. We all know Nate is a champion no matter what the outcome, and I guarantee you wether ppl believe any of you or not it's STILL gonna sell !
@MarvinWestmaas2 жыл бұрын
Who gives a F? No seriously, who gives a flying F if Nate doesn't? He wanted the fight, now he got it. It is actually quite disrespectful to Nate by calling it a screwjob. Even if there is no bookie alive giving you good money if you bet on Khamzat.

UFC is really desperate to make it seem like its going to be anything other than a one sided mess. But lets be real, the original reactions to this fight when it was announced are the real ones. The verbal acrobatics by Chael and other pundits to try and convince fans that this is a good matchup are just sad, not even the bad guy can sell this load of garbage.

Damn lol I knew he always lets people take it to the ground I thought I was just tripping because there was time where he fought great wrestlers he made it hard for them to get the take down and most the time where they did get the take downs he always seemed to fall to the ground before they really grabbed him look I’m not saying people haven’t got him down on their own but most of his fights he does seem to lay back or rolls into the fall with them not really doing to much but some of my buddies would say “bro he has no take down defense” and I would point it out either on replay or the moment it happens when he would lay down but they didn’t get my point so I always assumed that it was just me even tho We all he’s very good In jujitsu I’m rooting for him regardless of the outcome people sleep on him just because of his record like that dude always fights great fighters and even if the other fighter wins they can never finish him it always comes to decision or a bs cut but idc who he fights if it’s a 5 round fight they other dudes looks like he ran 100 miles while Nate looks like he got hit by a Meteor while flipping them off and acts like he’s not even tired lmao

Yea. They both do it. Nick in his last fight tried to do this to Lawler but Lawler wanted to bang. Its obvious that they do this. Because people forget that they have been doing jujitsu for 20 years under a Gracie. They can submit anymore given the chance. There use to marathons and ultra marathons. Trust me 25mins in a ring to make millions is nothing compared to those. The last time I did trail running(mostly jogging and walking lol) I did maybe 12 to 15 miles and a lot of uneven ground going up and down. By the end i was in pain everywhere. Probably a little dehydrated. So i can imagine they do more then that more often. I want to see a ultra marathon race between Nate Diaz, nick diaz and David goggins. That would be insane.

Rory McDonald ragdolled Nate with wrestling. Nate lost to Masvidal who looked larger and heavier. Lost to Leon for the same reasons. But, he rocked Leon late in the fight. And the Diaz brothers have made a career of beating savages who were put in there to beat them. I’d love to see Strikeforce Nick Diaz vs Chimaev. 😬
