Massive UFC fan for many years here. I do film study everyday of my life for quite a few years, UFC capper, etc…I absolutely love Leon, he’s in my top 15 CURRENT favorite fighters, but I don’t think he ever becomes a superstar like some of the others you mentioned…unless he goes on a long reign like Volk did. I think people that watch the sport regularly like Leon and appreciate him…but to the casuals he’s just another fighter who holds the belt. Maybe I am wrong, that’s just my opinion though.

He's too inactive to ever become a champion like Volk. Volk and Izzy earned respect because they were active. Even people like myself who didn't care for Izzy, had to give him some respect because he was active. Leon is a guy who fights 1 or 2 times a year. That is what his normal and average fight schedule looks like. Nobody likes a champion who does that

I just thought Leon wasn’t that amazing. He’s really good. I was dead wrong. I don’t think the Colby who fought Usman would have lost to Leon, but I think Leon is amazing now. I also despise Bullhaul and think he has very little chance against Leon. Leon’s a walking anti-wrestler with elite kickboxing. It’s Bullhaul’s worst nightmare matchup. Bullhaul beating up a young prospect doesn’t equate to being able to stand up with Leon. After Bullhaul it’s gonna be Islam vs Leon and that is a MUCH better fight, I can’t wait for that.
