Here's my prediction, and I bet I'm right. Conor's out of the fight altogether. Why, is up for speculation, but here's how the UFC is playing it. They're not ready to announce it yet for two reasons... One, ticket sales will plummet, and they got a LOT of investors. And two, they are in the process of booking a BIG fight, because losing Conor is a massive blow, and they are doing pre-damage control, by booking something worthy of a Conor slot. On top of that, the shoe in fighter is using this to negotiate top dollar. My prediction for the main event is... Chandler vs Holloway for the BMF title.

I think its something like this as well. Dana let it slip when talking about Islam for the BMF after 302 and he said they were already working on a BMF title fight. Why would they need a BMF title fight so soon after the last one at 300? Why wouldnt Max be fighting Ilia instead later this year? Only reason Max would fight for BMF if is something happened that is more urgent and important than the 145 title, and the only thing that would do that is Conor and Chandler falling through. Max vs Chandler is a solid exciting fight with 2 guys that can make 155, the question is does max really want to risk it all just to save the UFCs problem with conor when he worked so hard to get these options in the first place

His striking is better, but we haven't seen him in a while, and he had a serious injury and Chandler did better in his last two losses than Conor did in his. I think this is a dangerous fight for Conor and the worst problem Conor faces of all is he's been figured out. Is his chin still there? It will be interesting. It was a smart move in match making, I think. Conor is good against shorter fighters and Michael has been good for the UFC, has turned no challenge down and fought hard and was entertaining in every fight he's had. I believe he's the only person who's ever called out Gaethje in the UFC. Surely in a long time.

Conor needs the UFC more than the other way around, too many people believe the UFC needs Conor. Conor has proven not to be bigger than the sport and or the UFC. Just look at the fact that despite Conor not being on the card, the UFC has for years now been selling out venues and breaking attendance records. Who is Conor going to fight outside the UFC? Yeah let that marinate for a while, and please don't bring up boxing events

My gut feeling has always been, Connor won't fight. He just doesn't seem like someone who is capable of pulling it off to even show up. I've seen people spin out on drugs and alcohol and thats what I'm seeing here

These issues are territory Chael can't relate to. Yes, yes...he did his PEDs, etc. But Chael has never experienced the lifestyle of a drug/alcohol addict. So the behavior of people who do suffer from such afflictions seems bizarre - almost mystical and inexplicable. Observers desperately search for answers for the bizarre behavior and self-defeating decisions. But that IS ADDICTION. Conor is the the throes of genuine drug addiction. Through that lens - if you've never been so unfortunate to be able to look through it - it all makes sense. Conor will NEVER fight again.
