Arman didn't have a single successful takedown attempt. If by competitive you mean Arman was able to showcase his ability, sure, but it was not competitive. Islam is better than Khamzat? How? I think 10/10 times Khamzat beats Islam in MMA or wrestling. As for Alex getting taken down by Izzy/Jan, those matches are from over a year ago. I won't say more on this since it would just be conjecture as we have not seen him taken down in over a year in an official match. We simply don't know what level of improvement he has reached in that time. All we know for certain is that Glover has given him a BJJ black belt.

Hey Chael, haven’t been the biggest fan but I did enjoy your fights throughout the UFC. Recently I watched a documentary that basically covered your whole career and I learned a lot about you, particularly the part about your goal to become a champ for your dad. I thought that was awesome.. I lost my dad recently too largely due to covid, so I can kind of relate. I played sports my whole life and got injured in college going out for the basketball team my senior year. It was my dream to play college ball and I wanted to show my dad how much I had improved but it never happened. So that gut wrenching thought of coming so close really ate me up for a while. Perhaps you can relate. Over time I realized that it wasn’t so much about the end goal but the fighter within us, to give it our best in an unpredictable world where nothing is promised. I had a freak shoulder injury, you lost to Silva in the first fight that you dominated arguably all 5 rounds. Greater men have lost. Weaker men have won.. Our reality is unforgiving but your commitment to the sport is unmistakably honorable and I’m certain your dad looks proudly over your many accomplishments. Welterweights and lightweights are more complete fighters than the heavier classes, they are not restricted in movement like heavier classes and also have the toughest competition because the percentage of fighters is higher. So in reality it wouldn't be too surprising if many welters or even lightweights could beat LH and heavyweights contenders and even champions because there's times where the champions are nothing special. If you fight weight is 170lbs or 80kg, your walkaround weight is closer to 90kg and you cant get much stronger and powerful than that without sacrificing your athletism. And if theres a guy who is tall asf, that will also resctrict his athletism.

Floyd gets smashed by ronda. Atleast pereira could keep up. All that power means nothing once your back is taken and you are being ridden against the cage. Islam at 185 can beat alex. Arman at walk around weight had a convincing match against khamzat chimaev to a draw in submission match. That's khamzat flicking chimaev..no doubt he would have doen batter agsint any other 185er literally. Khabib regularly has been shown grappling with Luke rockhold and khabib was much smaller back then, he was close enough to his 155 weight not like how he is now. Islam at 185 would be a nightmare. Alex has the advantage of course but when that hits the ground I'm not too sure, there aren't to many pockets to escape since Islam is smaller, unlike how he got up against Jan, and Jan is not as skilled as Islam. I think it ends first round by kneebar.

Yo I think that Islam can beat Pereira but he's way too small for him. Anything past 185 he stands no chance. At 185 they are at least on an even standing the weight cut will be tough on Pereira, he's struggled with smaller fighters before (i.e. Bruno Silva and Artur Kyshenko) and his grappling needs to be pressure tested according to some onlookers. Islam has been rumored of thinking of going up to 175 either way so they are close enough in proximity to each other weight wise. But that's my opinion though.
