Chandler already explained it in the interview with Ariel. The leg that snapped was the left leg, which is not Conor's lead leg. It's not going to be there to be kicked. Chandler also pointed out that he isn't really known for his leg kicks to begin with, so there's that as well.

He should only attack Connor’s bad leg if he is planning on breaking his own leg. If Connor was fixed with a intramedullary mail, kicking his leg is literally kicking a titanium rod. Connor’s fracture is NOT a disadvantage. Quite the contrary. I have explained why elsewhere.

However, it will also hurt like hell for Connor to kick with that leg, other fighters who went through that procedure reported that side effect. Also, even if kicking a titanium rod leg is a terrible idea, I do believe that teeping/side kicking it would cause as much damage if not more. We aren’t talking about bone itself but the muscles and nerves around it.

That’s ridiculous, it’s like saying I won’t throw body shots because I know he’s weak at the body, or I won’t be punching him in the face because his chin isn’t what it used to be. Truth be told, Conor was lucky to not have that leg battered before his fight with DP. He did well to finish those risky fights quickly but I always thought his stance left him vulnerable to low kicks.

Why wouldn't you go for the ankle. Is it any different than cutting your opponent's eye and you start targeting that injury. If your leg kicks are working, do you stop using them. What a ridiculous view. Sure, he can fight on the old injury, but can he fight after a couple of well-placed kicks, that is the real question.

There is no bad leg. They're both fair game. If Chandler doesn't know and utilize the formula for beating Conor he needs a new trainer. Mix it up make him roll or defend takedowns and don't get clipped. Conor is dangerous against shorter fighters. This is actually a good matchup. I lean to Chandler.
