I think Shownu is an underrated leader. He doesn’t speak often (especially in english) but he is doing so much for the group without standing in the foreground. I think he is the perfect leader. A leader isn’t there just to speak for the group and be in the foreground. A leader is there to push the others in the foreground, to motivate them and to be a puffer for stress. It’s really hard to be a leader in the background, so I am really thankful for this video🥰

I know how his feel as introvert who can speak well in public, but he overcome it well, MX members even said that shownu try to change as talkative in variety but once he come back home he will be quite.. he do that to join a lot of variety show and he doesn't selfish but he always promote MX as group.. he always mention his member`s name when he attend variety show.. he understand that MX come from non big 3 entertainment company, that's why MX have to work harder to recognize.. he take that pressure as leader to make sure MX promote well.. and I'm so hurt when remember how hard they work but they can't get first place before dramarama era..after their first winning shownu cry and he still manage to praise his member.. 😇

All leaders are amazing but I have such a soft spot for soft spoken and patient leaders who may seem awkward but are hardworking in the background so his members get recognised for. I have a few in mind like Eric Mun and Bang Yongguk and I don't mind putting Shownu in that pedestal. He's really great and he earns the respect of his members and their staff.

What’s funny is that I got into Monsta X through seeing clips of Hoseok and Hyunwoo, and seeing an introvert being the leader for a group- ie Hyunwoo- made me relate to his so much. I have to be the team leader with friends and in school projects as no one understands what we are doing so I’ve had to take rein. It’s nice to see someone who is kept humble and doesn’t conform to society no matter how much people try to tell him otherwise. Bloni Fenfire yeah I get the same feeling. Like Shownu is not just perfect for Monsta X because of their personalities. But also because Monsta X had to go through so many hardships that they needed a Leader that was like a Rock. Someone to lean on while not having to talk or something. But if you would change Shownu to being the Leader of Got7 as an example that would not work as well since Got7 need someone that can kind of „control“ the members so that they don‘t go haywire. But this also goes the other way around (like JB being a leader of Monsta X wouldn‘t work). So I really think that you made a great point!!

What a man. I mean that in more than a sexual way. He is strong, and mature. Not too mature that it's boring, but that he knows when to step in and help, while stepping back and letting others take over. That takes maturity that I don't see a lot in guys that I've met. Shownu is one of the biases in MX. I guess I have three biases, and Shownu always tops the top 3. He really's almost too perfect. I love his love and compassion for the other members. I enjoy the domestic life that MX have with each other. It's so cute, charming and funny, that it should be a sitcom. However, I respect the boys and whoever they may be, because let's be honest, we don't know them personally. Even when they try to do vlives, they only show what they're comfortable with showing. Which is an honor, and we should NEVER take advantage of that. I understand that some people find shipping to be rude. However, it's simply the workings and imaginations of harmless fans. Yes, you may get upset and say something when a fan does something rude, inappropriate and forceful. However, getting upset over a name is just a waste of energy. Shownu read the name, "Showki" on a vlive, and he thought it was funny, while Kihyun just sighed. This proves to me that Shownu is mature, because he's not bothered by the imaginary homo-romantic and homosexual name that fans came up with. Say what you want, it's just a name and it can't hurt anyone, unless you let it. Shownu is also fine saying yes to fans proposals on vlives, allowing fans to enjoy an exciting moment, but not taking it too seriously. It's all fun, guys. Just enjoy the fun you have with the members and respect them as humans, but don't over do it. Because the members know that you guys will all grow up, and move on. It eventually happens. You may think it won't for you, and I thought the same thing about my favorite VK band, but, I out grew them. I grew up and moved on. It's okay. That's how it is, and it's perfectly normal. Shownu works hard because he wants to give his best, and allow the other members to shine brighter than the other musicians, artists, and entertainers. He understands the industry and does everything he can to maintain and climb higher than the rest. Love and support Monsta X, because they work hard for where they're at, and do what they love.
