Liking the Refreshers Deven. Starting to pay the tank more attention now after a year of dead ambition. 50/50 2 hour vinegar bath on the pumps dissolved the 2 year all buildup no problem. Good to have flow again lol

Hey, I have a 24G nano and I once had a refugium reactor but the pump gave out and I never replaced it and got a rather large protein skimmer. Now I would like to get it going again but I was wounded if if I can just use the same pump I use to circulate the water through the filtration system. Just loop it to the rector back to the circulation powerhead. Could I do that and still have good results?

Good video, Chaeto can be frustrating. Though I'am using a reactor currently. I will get great growth for weeks, I'll trim and it'll die off on me. I dose Chaeto Grow and have a lot of flow in the reactor to keep it moving. I just need to upgrade my system to have room for a refugium in my sump.

Mine is at about 16h. But you can run shorter or longer based on your nutrient level

I’ve been getting a slime on the walls of my refugium and like a sea foam on the top of the water. It grew great for a few months and then started doing this and not growing as much. Is an ICP test the best option foe figuring out if I need the trace elements or are they safe to dose anyways? I’ve got a power head in the refugium to keep it moving a few minutes every half hour.

Dunno, dosing of MicroBacter7 got rid of all of my cyano attached to the Chaeto...I tried dosing ChaetoGro with doser but the line would get cloggued...How often do you clean your line?
