Is Myanmar safe to visit? What can you expect visiting Myanmar in 2024/2025? Do I recommend going to Myanmar right now? What should you be careful of? I hope to answer most of your questions here. If you do have any questions, feel free to leave a comment 🤗
🌟 Want to help me to help others?
My mission is to make more people aware of the situation while trying to help as much as I can. Up until today, not one NGO can be transparent about the activities they are doing within Myanmar, so I had to be creative how we can help some of the people in need. We can not stop the war, but we can help people in need who are effected by the war.

Thank you Chai for visiting to our country. I would not recommend the tourist to go to our country during this uncertain time as a Myanmar citizen. After all this is not eternal, the light will be brighter after the darkness. Might is not always right. Right is mightier than Injustice.

I am a foreigner living in Mandalay, but I will leave soon due to the situation! I applaud your efforts to raise funds for those who have been affected by war. Little do sanctimonious keyboard warriors know how much Myanmar people are struggling! I feel that Myanmar is not my country, so I shouldn’t stay. I want to return to Myanmar after the war and help them rebuild. Myanmar people are always grateful when foreigners make an effort to help their country. They don’t deserve what’s happening… This video accurately represents what being a tourist in Myanmar is like and the ethics of the matter well.

Well Done, brother. You described the situation very well. It’s fluid now and not in a good way. I lived before and after the coup, teaching in Lashio, Mandalay, Magway and Kalaw. I feel as though the people of this beautiful country touched your heart as they did mine. I returned to the US in late June 2021 when I saw nothing good coming from the developments. Of course I brought my lovely Myanmar wife, to get away from certain struggles that have now been realized. We both look forward to returning to live when the injustice is vanquished. Peace to you, my new friend. I will continue to follow your journeys. 🙏🙏🙏

I am from Myanmar. You're safe as long as you do touristy things and go to touristy places: the junta wants tourist dollars to run their military machine to stay in power. However, if you are a journalist who wants to get the truth about the junta and the civil war, you will not be safe at all. That said, I'm glad you enjoyed the trip and back safely.

Actually Myanmar has 3-4 gas fields for good production but last 25-26 yrs ago the government at that time (also military regime ) had agreed with Thai government to sell the gas from Myanmar ! The government sell all gas production to Thailand and Myanmar ppl has no electricity ! They sell 1-2 millions dollars per day to Thailand! So that Bangkok and other industrial zone have electricity but we are in the dark! Sad for my country

No big deal but at least in the US we pronounce junta with a silent "j" so it sounds like "un-ta." Also, the word "coup" has a silent "p" at the end, so it sounds like "coo" or "koo." Don't forget, it's "at war" and not "in war." Otherwise, great job. Thanks for another interesting video.

Your creating content for your channel to attract new viewers and keep them watching ! That's what you do as a You-tuber. What your showing is just like its been there over at least the last 15 years I have been visiting. Sure the war has been in the media more and it flairs up now and then but it no less safe to visit Burma and all the amazing tourist sights.... But But But you say... just like your other videos of Burma your dramatizing it for views. The people need tourism as much as they always have. Your other videos were turning people away...

Hi there, sorry you feel this way about the efforts I put into this Myanmar series. My main focus was to have a positive impact on my stay and I believe I am accomplishing this, just a little. There are only a handful of people who are considering going to Myanmar at the moment and this is NOT because of hyped media or “KZbinrs” like me who are (in your eyes) dramatizing the situation. This is because the country is very unstable at the moment due to the military coup. I think I understand why you feel this way if you just watched this video of Chai Travel 🙏
